The embassy approved my expedite two days ago due to health circumstances. Status was Transit yesterday and today it says Ready. Will the embassy contact me to schedule and appointment or I will have to email them?? I am really confused. I didn’t get anything from the embassy. Any insight would really help.

Wait until case status change to Ready, then you can one step ahead by send an inquiry email to embassy. Usually, the embassy will contact you.

I was also in Vietnam with the same circumstance. Embassy contacted me with email letting me know what was needed for the interview and how to schedule an appointment if I couldn't make the one that was given. Email came about 10 days after NVC approval. Yours may be sooner pending on your circumstance.

The consulate is Djibouti. Very small country, they shouldn’t take that long hopefully..

Because a country is smaller, it doesn't mean they will be faster.  Smaller countries with fewer cases also have less staff to process those cases (i.e., the level of consular staffing depends on the consular workload of the country).  Plus, Djibouti's case load is larger than you might think, as it is the designated processing post for YemenI citizens since the Embassy in Sanaa closed.

Hopefully, they will process your case rapidly.

I totally agree what you said. Somalis and Yemenis go to Djibouti as well…
