HI, I'm a K1 VISA applicant Malaysia based. I've been trying to make an interview appointment through CGI portal since last month.

But there are always no available appointments. I have to have the interview by Jan 20th 2024 based on NOA2.

I'm questioning it's normal thing.. It seems making an appointment at US embassy in Japan goes smoothly relatively.

Does anyone have same experience? I'm really getting worried..

Some have reported positive results after emailing the consulate and letting them know they have been unable to book an appointment for a while.

NOA2 is usually extended automatically especially when the delay in not your fault. You can also email the consulate to inform them you’re still interested in the process and would like an extension.

Hi @YokoP I got an interview date after checking daily for 3 weeks straight. Managed to secure one on 16th Jan when I last checked on 20th Dec. There was a slot available for 23rd Jan as well.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. Thankfully I made an appointment after severa days I messaged here.
