I have a theory that the fires closed the CSC and that's why we heard nothing today. Laguna Nigel is not that far from some places getting evacuated. I bet you anything a lot of people called in sick if they did not close the place down.

The fires did not affect the CSC. Everything at that location is still up and running.

Actually some of their field offices were closed yesterday due to the fires, but who knows which or how many of their offices handle our petitions. They should hurry up and get our packets to NVC..after all that waiting..oops..I mean hard work they did, I'd hate to have those packets in their way!

Closing info:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

The only time a field office gets a k petition is if it is in AP and they want to interview you.

Ok, thanks. I had heard a while back that they were using people from the field offices to assist with the back logged petitions and help train the newbies, so I wasn't sure if they still were or if it actually affected K1's.

So how does anyone actually KNOW that CSC is still working at full capacity?? Where did anyone get this info?

Has anyone tried the RFE trick to see if anyone asks??? :)

Under 10 approvals this week?? I thought we were already over that number??

Gosh...it seems like this whole process just gets worse and worse everyday. This is getting ridiculous. As if the curse of the USCIS wasn't enough, now there are F-ing wildfires to sabotage things further.

Well what it looks like is that they call the customer service number or something and then say that their case is taking really long and that they think they got an RFE or something like that...and so the person answers them something...usually if you call 5x a day you get 5 different information...people who were already approved weren´t told they were approved and were told to wait a couple more weeks...etc...sometimes people get lucky though and get a nice person on the phone and they give them an accurate info on their case...but mostly it´s very inaccurate I think..
