My fiancé and I got our NOA2 approved today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!! If that processing time remains consistent, it puts us a month sooner than the current projection. We'll keep our fingers crossed. :)

  • 07/17/07 Returned from two months in China. All K1 documents 'in hand'.
  • 07/19/07 Completed preparation of I-129F & associated documentation. Mailed it.
  • 08/03/07 Received NOA1 from the CSC.
  • 12/13/07 Received NOA2 from the CSC.
  • 01/23/08 NVC sent our case to U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China.
  • 03/31/08 U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China received, issued case number.
  • 04/05/08 P3 received.
  • 04/06/08 P3 sent.
  • 05/01/08 P4 received.
  • 05/12/08 Flight to China.
  • 06/23/08 Interview at U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China- PINK.
  • 06/25/08 K1 & K2 visas received.
  • 07/09/08 We all arrive in America, Chicago POE
  • 08/06/08 Fiancee receives SSN (req. for marriage in our state)
  • 08/08/08 Married
  • 09/01/08 Moved into new house. AR-11's filed for wife & son.
  • 09/19/08 AOS / EAD package mailed.
  • 09/25/08 AOS / EAD NOAs.
  • 10/02/08 Biometrics letters.
  • 10/16/08 Biometrics taken.

So we were out all day. Came back home and found a letter in the mailbox :dance: Thank you CSC, we finally received our NOA1 hardcopy :thumbs::D

The received date written on it was 06-15 so I changed our countdown since so far we could only use the date that was written on USCIS pages and that was later than that. Our countdown jumped up from 105 days to 111 days. So there you go! :whistle:

Though I was hoping to see more people approved today...? Ok slow week. :unsure: And so...does USCIS have a day off on Columbus Day?

Thanks for putting that together. It was interesting to see so many pending cases prior to April, I would also bet they are inactive in the forums and have moved on after getting their NOA2's and just never bother updating their timeline.

So since we finally received NOA1 hardcopy today we just updated our timeline and so next time bszoom has time to make another list we will finally be in it! :dance: But since the order on his list is by the date when people received NOA1 we will be at the end of the list! :crying:CSC received our package on 06-13 which would put us somewhere around number 145 but since we received our replacement receipt notice on 10-05 (since we never received the original), it will put us somewhere around number 355! :crying: That´s unfair :P Could the list be in the order of how petitions were sent please? :wacko:

There is still a huge number of May filers that need to be approved. At 10 a week it will still take about 8 weeks. That does not include the April and March filers that are also left. This sucks big time :angry:

well like i said ...received date is 06-15...but the VJ timeline asks for when we received NOA1 receipt so they can include it in their statistics as for "average days from sending petition to receiving NOA1" ...so that´s why in VJ timeline i stated i received NOA1 10-05...and i guess that´s where he takes the data from...

Thank you so much bszoom for putting this list, and all updates. Finally I put correctly our NOA 1 dates (Pending K – 3 NOA2 from CSC – 54. ania&kuba) from 08.01 to 08.22 (received date vs. notice date).

The list goes by the 'notice date' and not the 'received date'. I really think there should be a box on the VJ timeline to input the 'received date' when people get their NOA1's as this is the date that USCIS are supposed to roughly order the petitions by. Because of the receipting issues recently many people are much earlier filers than they appear to be if the data is in order of NOA1 'notice date'.

Still, the list bszoom created gives an indication of the numbers involved and if this is 10% roughly of total filers then it gives us all an indication of what timeframe we might be looking at for approval. I hate to be critical when I haven't done any spreadsheeting myself :P I'm really grateful for the efforts of all those providing data for us to compare :)

I don't think that is right Chris. How does he know the received date? I don't think there is any place on VJ to enter the NOA1 received date. The timeline instructions very clear state that the notice date should be used.

I personally think that VJ should be using the received date on the timelines because the notice date is being entered inconsistently and can often be delayed by a lot. Also USCIS prioritizes by NOA1 received date and not by notice date. Unfortunately VJ does not agree that they should change the timeline instructions.

For the purposes of this thread, if zoomer sorted by sent date instead NOA1 date members would be sequenced in roughly the same order as USCIS uses to prioritize. Presumably the receipt date follows the sent date by only a couple of days even if the NOA is 60 days late.

The bottom line is that members should be comparing their progress to that of other members on the basis of sent date and not NOA1 date. VJ administration has made that statement here.
