Our NOA2 is finally approved today after waiting for more than 6 months. We started to feel uneazy from the end of Feb seeing other Oct filers started to have their NOA2.. We didn't receive a single touch since end of Feb and it got us nervous and somehow believed they forgot about us or left us on the shelf!

I actually gave up checking on the website these days as I believed there would be nothing new anyway. When I got the email showing sender as "CRIS", I thought it was "CTRIP", which is a travel agency who sends me junk mails sometimes so I deleted it right away without even looking, when I was actually on the phone with S and was whining about why it took forever to get NOA2. LOL

Hi everyone!

I woke up this mourning just to casually check my e-mail, not expecting anything from the USCIS. So I checked my e-mail and found, in the middle of alot of junk mail, two e-mails from CSC saying that my I-129F and I-130 have been APPROVED!

What happened last week was I called Senator John McCain's office in Tuscon, AZ, since I live in Arizona. I talked to his secretary, and gave her all the information about my case, and how I filed in September and was delayed. The secretary told me that they will do everything they can to help me. They contacted CSC last week, CSC replied them the next day and told the secretary to give them 30 to 45 days to make a disicion on my applications. So McCain's office called me and told me this and the next day I recieved a letter from them jsut stating in writing what they told me over the phone. I have to call them to update and thank them for their help. Now only after a fews days of them calling the CSC, I am approved. I should have called them earlier for help. Anyway now on to the NVC, God Willing!

I am fairly certain I have the right one. And a couple slightly larger ones caught up to it in Belgium. They are all at a DHL center in Lagos. So they should reach the embassy Monday.

Hope when you get approved you catch the NVC pallet right away. You have waited so long you are going to be the CSC equivilant of a Walmart greeter soon. But you will so much happier with NVC people they are pleasant to you.

Well yours should be easy to spot due to the size. When it gets to NVC it leaves a few days later. They told me all they do is assign a number and package them off to the embassy. I told the lady she should go train CSC on how to work effeciently. After they tell you yours has gotten there look a couple of days later at the DHL home page for the US ( not the global one) At the top there is a menu for tracking. Select the one for tracking by reference number. They use the same format all the time

EXP DD MMM 2008A ( DD is day MMM is 3 character month like apr or may )

You will get 60 or so back. If you see one heading to Nigeria look at the weight. Yours is a bit bigger than most. They do a little dance through the NorthEast ( NH to ME to PA to OH to NY ) before heading to Belgium then to Nigeria. If you don't find it with 2008a try 2008b I have yet to see a 2008c. If they say it left on Tues look at Monday too . I think the label is sometimes generated the day before.
