That could be understandable Mox.. but pls do keep that remarkable patience intact longer coz a lot of people are drawing strength from that "unshakable patience" of yours... you've been doing a great job lifting the spirits of a lot of people here. KUDOS to you MOX!

You're NOA2 will soon come and when it does, it will be as sweet as sweet can be.

You're too kind, thanks! Last night I was feeling a little low, but I'm feeling much better this morning. So I continue to patiently wait. :)

MOX ???

My SO who is USC was given my alien number when he called CSC on Friday...is that good sign?? i never read of anyone being given one before NOA2

Huh. That's pretty strange. I've not heard of that either. Perhaps someone with a little more experience can shed some light on that.

The numbers are assigned right away, I was told by the only truly helpful Immigration Officer (NOT a front-line idiot) to whom I spoke. However, because we do not think to ask for this number, no one at the eminently helpful, forthcoming, supportive California Disservice Center is obliged or inclined to tell us what the number is or even that we have it. Incidentally, the number is officially known as the "Administrative" number, because of politically correct offense that is taken when someone is called an "alien." Si, man. (In Mexico or elsewhere, would we NorteAmericanos be assigned a "gringo number"?)

So I continue to patiently wait. :)

There is no need to wait PATIENTLY, dude. You oughta try calling an ImmigOff (not a front-line idiot) at the CDC ("D" = Disservice) to ask at what station your file is, and can the ImmigOff please e-mail someone who can hand-carry it to the next station.

Is there no way that you can call her.. as in really tall with her on the phone?

You are probably besieged now by negative thoughts and feelings, just hang in there and keep your love for her burning by thinking of all the things you love about her and all the happy moments you have spent with her... it is great that you continue to keep in touch with her in spite of her silence. in 2weeks time it will be march already and you will be visiting her... there you will find out what's the deal with her silence. I hope everything will turn out right for the two of you.

i wish you all the best. God bless you always.

Well, how very kind, si man. It is harder to catch her by phone than one imagines, and if I leave voice-mail, there'd be no guarantee that she would call back, and if she's stressed, the conversation would not be productive, either in itself or long-term, I don't think. And, you're right -- March 12 around midnight when the plane lands -- or sooner, should she desire cancellation -- will tell the tale, si man.

If she dumps me, I will ask for the engagement ring and the advance-purchase wedding ring back, but I will continue to love her.

I sincerely hope there is a happy outcome for you TB. I wrote a really long reply yesterday to one of your posts and it got eaten by the internets! It involved various points of commentary, points A to (iv). The main point I wanted to make though was to suggest, if you have not done so already, you take an active interest in her career. Rather than seeing it as a mistake you made, embrace the idea of her taking your advice. If she's unwilling to talk, for whatever reason, it may encourage her to be more open if you took the focus off the visa and placed it on her future career plans. How does she see things progressing if she moves to the US etc. ?

Just an idea.

Why, thank you, T. I have read (and been told) over and over that RESPECT goes miles (er, kilometers) with Latinas, si man. And how dare the Internet eat your writings?

To all: I have decided to start a new thread (if I can figure out how), tentatively entitled "How to Shake the CSC Loose for Your NOA2," with the tips that worked for me after months of banging my head against closed doors and idiots. Si, man.

I tell ya, the CSC negect here is bordering on malfeasance. Just look at the last few days CSC approvals 2/14 0, VSC 8....... CSC 2/15 approvals 0, VSC 2.......CSC approvals since 2/15 0, VSC 2. I mean come on now, this is getting rediculous. Purportedly these guys have hired a bunch of staff - they're 2/3's larger than VSC, but can't seem to get the job done. More staff, less production - I wonder if the director out there is feeling the heat, or is anyone at USCIS actually paying any attention at all. I can appreciate that there might be a few slow individuals in a large group of adjudacators, but this inability to get the job done makes it seem like everyone there is on holiday. I'm not even expecting any activity for months to come and I'm still pissed, I can't imagine how people on the cusp are feeling. Please Obama, walk over the the CSC and start the chant "Yes we can!!"

And So It Begins......

Absolutely si, man, to everything. They do have zillions of other applications to process besides ours; one Immigration Officer told me that if three bulldozers worked all day in there, they still couldn't carry all of the files out. This is not to excuse their malfeasance, particularly their "we process applications in the order we receive them" falsehood, but merely to frame the scope of the problem.

I tell ya, the CSC negect here is bordering on malfeasance. [...] I'm not even expecting any activity for months to come and I'm still pissed, I can't imagine how people on the cusp are feeling.

I guess the point is that we all pay the same fee, regardless of whether we live on the East Coast, Midwest, or West Coast, yet our processing times are drastically different and dependant on the state where we live. I'm not asking for a visa for my SO to enter Illinois, I'm asking for a visa for her to enter the US. Yet the time I have to wait depends on my state. If the backlog is untenable at the CSC, then files should be sent to VSC until such time as the adjudication equalizes and everyone gets the same deal. Sorry VSC filers, but the disparity is getting rediculous and is absolutely unfair.

And So It Begins......

I agree 100% with Ohla,.....

it's SO not fair that us CSC Filers are having to wait this long while VSC is already approving DECEMBER Filers........Gee CSC STILL has ppl from July and August waiting to FINALLY get approved.

That fee increase should be taken back because instead of better and faster service we now have to wait even longer to be reunited with our loved ones.

It is making me mad, sad, depressed and just very desperate.

All we are asking for is to be with the person we love!

Why is it so importnat to process AOS and Citizenship stuff while there's ppl having to live seperate and apart in different countries/parts of the world just because the work load is not shared equally among the Service Centers???????

I'm really getting tired of that and I don't even want to look into any mixed threads anymore cause it brings me down every single day to see how fast VSC is and how horribly slow CSC is...........

Ya ranting and raving but for crying out loud it's the truth!

Totally agree with this. This is what is fundamentally unfair about this process. When people ask whether the I-129F can be expedited I feel like saying 'yeah move to a state where you can file at VSC'. Having said this, VSC were pretty tardy with July filers too, in fact they were worse than CSC because they apparently ignored a number of July petitions and forged ahead with October petitions. At least at CSC they usually approve petitions submitted within 4-6 weeks of one another. Not much comfort I know. Good luck though, it's very hard waiting.
