OK so I was trying to do the RFE trick last night and called the CSC.........and was told that ONLY the petitioner gets info from them!

Did anybody on here know about that???

My man does not have the patience to call USCIS,so I did and now we don't know any more than before......

We got a touch due to the call, but thats it.

Why can they only give info to the USC???

Nat

Yes, they'll only speak with the petitioner. The reason is that the petition is filed by the sponsor for the benefit of the co-sponsor. In other words, the petition belongs to the sponsor, and as such they will only talk to that person. It sorta makes sense if you think about it, although I know you must be going out of your mind that you can't find anything out. I'm sorry. :(

Get your man off his butt and tell him to make that phone call! Tell him it's important to you. If it's important to you, it should be important to him.

Both times I've called I was touched twice. I think it's very normal.

And don't worry...you didn't do anything to mess anything up. Whatever state your application was in, that remains unchanged. The people who answer the phones have no control over your application. It sounds like you are *VERY* close! :)

Uh, but he should never ever YELL during any such phone call, or he may be viewed as an undesirable Loco, si man.

Maybe the website is down?? After such a roll of approvals it seems odd that there wasnt a single one yesterday.........

Oh and a question-

does anyone know whether the passport style pics for the medical and the Interview have to be NEW ? Or can I use the ones submitted with the I 129F for the Medical? Or if I get pics taken now can I use them for the Medical as well as the Interview???

They're technically supposed to be new. I would not use the same pics as you filed with. If you're certain that neither of you are going to change your appearance much before the interview/medical then it's probably safe to just do them now and get it out of the way.

I think they always ask for pics that have been taken within the last 6 months. So if you have ones left over from before and its still less than 6 months when you have your medical or interview i dont see why not.

K thanks for the answer to my question. So I will just go and get pics of my son and me done next week and use them for both. Here you always have to get 4 pics done so it would really be a waste of money if we had to go twice. And aslo this keeps me from getting a haircut.........LOL.Gotta keep my hair at least that length for the wedding, afterwards I WILL CUT IT again!!!

Oh and there is no Approvals out of Vermont from yesterday either so I say website is down.......

Congrats to Karen & Daniel, May filers who received NOA2 yesterday. Give them a big "zomg it's about freaking time" round of applause!

Oh, and here's the note from their timeline: "Took more than 7 months for CSC to send us an RFE for missing to fill in a N.A. besides the None under Family Name of Husband/Wife in form G325A of beneficiary." :(

Glad you're approved now, things should start moving a lot faster for you now.
