Waiting for a NOA2 from CSC for your I-129F?

Both centers have got problems.

Here's some interesting stats:

Zero of the last 50 VSC filers have been pre-July filers.

9 of the last 50 VSC filers have been July filers.

47 of the last 50 CSC filers have been July or previous filers.

I'm sure this only scratches the surface.

Advice I would give - VJ doesn't like it, but it doesn't involve any type of K visa.

But how many are remaining for each? Because it is all well and good if VSC are processing only 9 July-ers or before but then if they only have 10 left it kinda makes sense...

Anyway - *I* don't make sense right now so I think I need sleepies :)

Night all! :D

Yeah I think that it is good we have a strong bond in the CSC/July threads as you know you aren't alone even if things seem dire - it's when you're the only one left behind that things begin to sting...

Ok - am defo off to bed now :P

Hmmm...I might look that up. I guess my point was that the loads should be at least somewhat in the ballpark of similar. They're not even close.

I like stats and I certainly feel better being at CSC looking at this:

VSC stats

11/73 filers in June without NOA2

27/128 filers in July without NOA2

10/38 filers in August without NOA2

19/58 filers in September without NOA2

55/75 filers in October without NOA2

CSC stats

25/137 filers in June without NOA2

54/196 filers in July without NOA2

44/47 filers in August without NOA2

50/50 filers in September without NOA2

63/63 filers in October without NOA2

Stats are flawed because I didn't include TSC and NSC but you get the picture.

Of course some may not have updated.

So here's a few stats I thought were interesting. These are the numbers (and percentages) of filers who are still waiting on NOA2.

Filers still waiting

      CSC               VSC

May   20/147 (13.6%)    11/67  (16.4%)
Jun   25/137 (18.2%)    11/73  (15.1%)
Jul   55/196 (28.1%)    27/128 (21.1%)
Aug   44/47  (93.6%)    10/38  (26.3%)
Sep   50/50  (100%)     19/58  (32.8%)
Oct   63/63  (100%)     55/75  (73.3%)
Nov   35/35  (100%)     40/40  (100%)
Dec   39/39  (100%)     36/37  (97.3%)
Jan   18/19  (94.7%)    34/35  (97.1%)

(lower percentage is better)

I need to run off and do actual work in a minute, but the big thing that stuck out to me is that VSC are actually doing *better* on July filers than CSC, which sort of obsoletes my previous post on the subject. Where there is a precipitous dropoff in any kind of logic whatsoever is in August and going forward.

No hurry or even a need for an answer, but I wonder how many of these applications were RFE'd vs. simply not dealt with yet?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Oh and also take figures for older months with a grain of salt. Some filers disappear into marital bliss (or just plain disappear) without updating their timelines, so those percentages will never drop to zero. (Some months ago somebody posted evidence that roughly 10% of filers don't update their timelines after NOA2. Sounds about right to me.)

Timeline

4 unresolved RFE's at VSC (1 July, 1 August, 2 Oct filers)

8 unresolved RFE's at CSC (2 June, 4 July, 1 Sept, 1 Oct filers)

These are for the time period 31/5 - 1/11

Agreed that some people just fail to update for one reason or another. 10% sounds about right looking at May stats

*sigh* at least it's something. Must give the August filers a little hope at least.

I HAVE my NOA2, and it still give me tight-jaw syndrome when I see these infernal things processed out of order. This comment in no way is meant to detract from the lucky couple's joy.

I'm cuttin' out for the weekend. Hopefully, when I on-log again Sunday night or on Monday, I'll hear that someone got some good Saturday news. Let's hope that my news isn't bad as of any phone calls or e-mails by Sunday, si man... Good luck to all.

Haha - I aws going to request percentages but moxie was one step ahead... of course now I feel a bit smug about the fact I was right about VSC doing better... of course that isn't a good thing so it is a tainted smugness

Great news about the August approval! Bear in mind I know there are people on the July spreadsheet who have dropped off the radar a bit too - I have scrutinised recent activity and timeline updates and adjusted the spreadsheet but there isn't much I can do for the VJ timelines - I *have* sent pms to people who need to update but... :P
