sick, man ;)

Still the Prettiest, man. :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Well - I just called the USCIS again today and the man who I spoke to said "well, maam - give it another two weeks. I'm sure by then you will hear something". UGH - that's what they said two weeks ago. The pot is getting ready to boil over.....I'm trying to remain positive.

Personally I would call every day and don't mention that you have called loads - eventually you will get to someone who will help you... It might even be worth not mentioning the RFE - say when you filed, when you got your NOA1 and how long you have been waiting and ask if they can find anything out... I don't know if that would work but it might get them to actually investigate rather than go "oh she's only had the RFE back a month or so - no point in her calling yet"...

Things do slowly seem to be picking up at CSC... still not up to scratch but at this point...

Congrats to the approvals. Hopefully it's the start of all July filers being approved this week.

Did any of them mention whether they heard online or hard copy NOA2. Would be interesting to know whether the online updates are actually working.

Yes, the e-mail notification system seems to be working. I check the status on USCIS everyday, no change by 5:30 yesterday (1/14) . This morning I had an e-mail stating My I-129F was approved on 1/14. The e-mail was sent around 6:45 PM (PST) . No prior touches.

Good luck to the rest of the July Filers still waiting.

Just a clarification, I received this email from CRIS on January 14. My sister actually the one who received the hardcopy for the NOA2 on January 14(I dont have it with me at the moment). But approval date from NOA2 hardcopy is January 10, 2008. I will edit my timeline ASAP! I got a touch on January 10 and January 11. There's an obvious discrepancy of the date from the CRIS email, it says, they sent the notice on the 14th of January but it was actually sent out probably on the 11th.

I just had a thought - what if CSC is bypassing the emails and net updates, and just sending approvals as hard copies, or even straight to NVC? that's happened to a few people, maybe it will happen again :D

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Normally I'd complain if they did that, but at this point I'd definitely take it as a win!

Well then...an average of 0.67 CSC approvals per day for the week so far. That's gotta be some kind of record.

So here's my Top 10 list of guesses as to why the CSC have stopped approving our petitions:

10. In a move of solidarity with the Hollywood writers, CSC adjudicators refusing to write "Approved."

9. The CSC New Years Eve Party was a killer. Seriously, they're all dead.

8. It's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" marathon days at CSC. 7 seasons of kick-azz slayage in glorious surround sound.

7. They're all refusing to work until President Bush replaces Hannah Montana in his Top 8 on Myspace with CSC.

6. Entire CSC staff caught in Groundhog Day time warp, unable to escape until they discover the true meaning of "to blave."

5. CSC playing hide and seek with manager who must count to 10 million.

4. Entire CSC evacuated. Somebody reported not seeing a Ninja in the break room, and everyone knows that Ninja's are invisible, so it must be true.

3. They're holding out for more Hershey's Kisses.

2. It's ALWAYS Beer-30 somewhere in the world.

And the number one reason CSC have stopped approving our petitions:

1. They hate gorillas. It's all my fault.

Well folks, it's my 40th birthday today. I'd hoped (not too hard, though) for a nice birthday present, but I guess it didn't come.

I do have a bit of dark humor, though. As I was standing in the express line at the grocery store, I noticed a guy who chose the regular line next to me, which just a few minutes prior had a large order being checked out. That man was on his way out the door, and I still had one person in front of me. You can guess my thoughts. "That is the Vermont line, and this is the California line, I guess." I kept my thoughts to myself, however, as I'm sure that analogy would be lost on anyone in that store. Thought y'all might find that humorous, though.

In other bad news today, I was in negotiations for a house today, a house that my love has only seen pictures of, but I still consult her for advice on these matters. Negotiations on price bogged down however, and I walked away from the table. I hope I made the right decision.

Plus, I froze my butt off today at work. It's snowing. OK, I'm really pushing the relevance to this thread now. I hope y'all had a nice day. I'll stop now. Life is good.

OK now I just had to tell my better half about CSC........He never comes on here to check,so he didn't know yet just HOW slow CSC is at the moment........

He's VERY upset......

I absolutley can't understand why in the world they're not doing their job.....

Ya right let's Increase the Fee's ,process the I 129F's at only two Service Centers instead of 5 and make ppl wait to be reunited with their loved ones........

Not hard to tell how fed up I am huh?

And I'm even one of the lucky ones cause my embassy in Frankfurt is really fast and at least we wont have to wait several months for an Interview Date, but hey what the heck?????

We thought we could get married May 17th...........guess that aint gonna happen.....

Does CSC care about their Customers?! Nope, they just want our money!!!!! I can't say why it's called California SERVICE Center as in my opinion THERE IS no SERVICE!

Nat

Met on May 17,2005

Got engaged on Sep 15th,2006

Came to the US for good on Jan 27th,2009

and we got married on March 28th,2009

GOD , grant me the serenity

to accept the things I can not change

the courage to change the things I can

and the wisdom to know the difference!

Half-right, Mox -- it's because you never provided the rooster months ago, as requested. Bunnies & gorillas, si man, but you out-chickened regarding the correct critter.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

I know how that feels - when something just isn't going as you thought and then *everything* seems to be going against you... Keep the faith - you *will* get there - whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger :)

Use and abuse with my blessing. :)

Agreed. And as the poster implied, keep your sense of humor. If you give in to the bitterness, it will consume you.

The grocery store story was funny, and I have to admit I've had similar analogies enter my mind. Stuck in traffic and seeing that other lane that's going faster...so I jump in that lane and it immediately comes to a stop while the previous lane starts moving again.
