Haha - no - it was really cold when we were there - it was all I could do to bring myself to dip my feet in the Pacific ;)

Well, if we're to talk about Specific Oceans, "The Pond" is the Atlantic. Ha & si, man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This is under DHL eTrack.

I hope this helps?

Create an e-mail and enter your air waybill number(s) in the contents - up to 50 at a time. If you've received an e-mail containing the air waybill number you want to track, forward it to DHL and our system will automatically find it within the text and send you a reply.

Address the e-mail to track@dhl.com. To send the results to other people, enter their e-mail addresses in the CC field.

Send the message and receive the results via return e-mail within seconds.

Off the subject, I hope we begin to see some CSC approvals this week. I am very strong willed, but I hate this waiting because I have no control over the outcome. My girl is getting uptight about the wait, but I tell her to look on here and she will see that it's not just us. No one in the CSC system is getting approved. I was just looking at the immi timelines and it apprears that the bulk of the July filers are done and that the people that aren't just haven't updated on VJ. I still have 17 days left on my Jan 31 guess from your CSC sweepstakes. I'm still keeping the faith, just very frustrating when I see VSC filers getting approved. Hope we see some actiion this week and bring up the moral around here.

Hmm, there's a good few of us July filers pulling our hair out because there is no movement at CSC. Not a case of not updating timelines I'm afraid.

You would think that the immigration system would have went from 2 locations to 4 locations to speed things up tremendously. Instead, they go from 4 locations to 2. And within the 2 places, VSC and CSC, CSC is full of idiots. :protest:

Yeah, I agree. If people weren't updating timelines then we'd see a lack of approvals at both CSC and VSC.

Maybe the CDC (Calif. Disservice Center) has fallen into the Specific Ocean, or it should fall. (What's that old quote? "When your specificity goes, you fall"?)

Bite your tongue. They fall into the ocean and my petition falls into the ocean. While I would mourn the deaths of the millions who live in southern California, I would be extremely put out by having to re-submit my petition, and that would be the real tragedy! So let's keep a little perspective here! :)
