one K1 approval last week? one?! :blink:

No. There were 3 others approved on 9/7. VSC only had 1. :(

where are you looking? I looked at the latest CSC lists as posted by bszoom (previous page) and there's only one K1 approval listed for September... the other three are K3s

but then, I have missed things in the past... ;)

For the most recent information, click Immigration Timelines (at top of most VJ pages) and then click Visa display Options - K1 Visa. When the list of K-1 petitions opens, sort by NOA2 date by clicking the little downward pointing arrow next to I-129F NOA2. The most recent NOA2's will now be on the top of the list. CSC & VSC will both be listed. You can filter the list if you like. The option is at the bottom of the page.

6 NOA2s for the month of September that we know of. All were from May except one. I really hope that is speeds up a little more.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I am thinking of changing the start date to be 6 months behind the current date. This would be inline with what the USCIS service level is. This would mean people with NOA1s more then 6 months ago would drop off of these lists.

I don't want to drop anyone that is actually waiting for their NOA2, but if I don't set a limit, the list will grow longer and longer as there will be people who don't update their timelines.

The reason I am thinking 6 months is that is the advertised USCIS time.

This is a good idea bszoom....It could possibly bring more people back to update their timelines. As well as place people in their proper perspectives....LOL....Our number keeps becoming larger....anyway, take care, and thank you so much for the list that you've provided for all of us.

First off let me say that you are awesome! I don't know how you manage to keep everything organized with the the 2 lists and still stay sane! Second let me congratulate you on your NOA-2 and that you have a great trip to see your other half in India. WoW I feel excited for you! Hopefully that day will come soon for me! August 8, 2008: We're married!! (both the ceremony and legal wedding)

September 11, 2008: Got the marriage certificate in the mail!! 

September 20, 2008: Sent AOS packet (I-485, EAD, AP)

September 22, 2008: USPS confirmed delivery at LockBox

September 26, 2008: Check Cashed!! :)

September 25, 2008: Recv'd date on all NOA's 

September 30, 2008: Received all 3 NOA's: I-485, EAD, AP

Ocotber 10, 2008: RFE for I-485 (needed proof of citizenship for sponsor) :S

October 21, 2008: Biometrics @12 pm in Ft. Lauderdale~over and done with in 5min!!~

October 22, 2008: documents for RFE sent via Priority Mail

October 24, 2008: documents received at MO

November 6, 2008: Case transferred to CSC :D

December 10, 2008: EAD approved!! Card production ordered!

Dec. 15, 2008: Rec'd EAD and AP via mail.

March 2, 2009: AOS Approved

March 9, 2009: Green Card Received!!!

January 2021: notice stating no new Biometrics needed

April 15, 2022: Notice to Appear for interview and exam

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Out of curiosity I looked at the open K-1's from January. I expected to find most of them abandoned. Here is what I found instead:

Out of 13 total January petitions.......

2 had no links to profiles and no recent entries. I assume these were abandoned.

2 had links but appeared to have been abandoned a long time ago.

6 had interview dates but no NOA2. I assume they forgot to enter the NOA2. This one kind of surprised me.

1 was last seen 8/4. Might still be active.

2 are definitely active but having a very difficult time.

If you enact the 6 month cutoff, you would lose 2 and maybe 3 active January petitions and get rid of 10 or 11 petitions that should be deleted. I would hate to see the active ones get deleted. Especially since 2 of them have had a very difficult time and it would seem to add insult to injury if they were deleted from the list.

As I look at January I conclude that 10 petitions should definitely be deleted. If you purged petitions with interview dates and no NOA2 that would get rid of 6 of the 10.

I am not really sure how to get rid of the other 4. You could look at the last update to the timeline but if there is no NOA2 there is nothing to enter so that could still delete some active petitions.

Is it possible to delete petitons without links to profiles? That would get rid of 2 more. I am assuming that a petition without a link to a profile means the profile has been deleted from the site but I did not check that.

I do not know how you are mining the data but I assume that you cannot look at the profile to see when they were last active. That's too bad because that would be an effective place to apply the six month cutoff and get rid of abandoned petitions.

The output data can only be as good as the input data. If people don't update their timelines then that will make the estimates unreliable. Please update your profiles people, or if you don't plan on updating it then don't make one at all!!!

I think if that was true, I should have gotten my application approved within three months. My petition was meticulously organized, tons of relevant evidence, no issue with IMBRA and showed an ongoing relationship for three years. How much easier could I have made it for them? :blink:

Three months use to be the average time for approval of the NOA2. Now the timeline has increased at least to 120 days and counting within the last 4 to 6 weeks. Some say it is because of the mass filings to miss the fee increase July 30, although nobody is quite sure.

See that is your problem. You were meticulous. I think they have changed their objectives and decided to adjudicate those types of petitions last because they like to do the opposite of the obvious.
