Sorry you're not having a good day, but hopefully the RFE will be something easy that you can send to them as soon as you get the notice. At least you know they're working on your case and it'll resume as soon as you send back what they need. Most people get their approvals quickly after and RFE is taken care of. I know how said you must be since she just left as well, but at least you got to spend some time together...I'm envious :)

From the looks of things (the joyous whoops), it appears that the CSC is processing the boxes of applications that were forwarded to them from the NSC in early June. Very few (any?) approvals of applications that were forwarded from the TSC are being celebrated.

The damndest thing is that the USCIS site (or forms) could have said SOMETHING about the (at that time) impending transfer of NSC & TSC applications to the CSC or VSC. Why did I (and, surely, others) pay for overnight express of our I-129F packages to either NSC or TSC, only to have our paperwork shunted elsewhere after a delay of several or many days? Had I overnighted my package directly to the CSC, I'd have been nearly two weeks ahead of what my official "receipt date" stinks as.

As if this weren't enough, I keep checking my timeline, only to see the projected date of approval keep slipping.

Even if my papers are approved very soon and without an RFE, I believe that I will still fantasize about visiting the CSC and firing everybody on the spot (or, barring that, banging some heads).

Vent-spleeningly,

T-Bone

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Pardon my modesty, his patientness, but i think if you check, the last message you got before your approval was from your fans maria n john assuring you noa2 was on the way.......maybe we'll change our name to mr and ms cleo.....

Anyway, congratulations....

Eric, this is just a minor setback...now it's up to you to become the patient one (part II);

As for us, we got our first touch on 11/05 after I called to ask about a hard copy noa1; then yesterday, when i got home from a Quickbooks seminar in Orlando, I saw another touch (11/06). I'm interpreting all this as good news.

Whatever happens, each day Maria is 1 day closer to coming home....Waking up to that thought every morning makes each day more special for me. I cannot wait for the day I leave for Cebu to bring her home.

You have gone much longer then I have. I left her from a short visit on September 11th. I just wish she was with me now.

And Mr/Mrs Cleo you actually told me it was on the way at about 5:30 on the day I was approved. So within two hours of the USCIS website updating my approval. Very impressive. :)
