THREE approvals on the 20th :)

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Cuban Adjustment Act allows Cubans who make it to US shores, land or territory illegaly to apply for political asylum. Otherwise know as dry foot policy. Cubans are the only privilaged bunch who have this opportunity and the process is rather fast and they are usually processed within a few days.

Soo.. Once the Cuban fiancee is here on K-1, He/she can just claim asylum and avoid having to pay all those ugly AOS/AP/EAD fees?

Actually Yes! If the cuban fiancee decides not to marry within the 90 days He/she can claim asylum and she will not be deported and the sickening part is that cuban asylum seekers get financial assitance from our tax money and are maintained by cash, food stamps, health coverage for a whole year. I have heard about cases were the Cuban fiancee's enters the US on marriage/fiancee based visa and within a few short days leaves the poor soul that brought them over with hopes & dreams of marriage and a family. Unfortunetly, these are realities that exist but the sad part is that politicians who write our laws do so for their own benefit while the average joe is deprived of the very basics.

Point in case; Cuban Americans are only allowed to visit immidiate family once every 3 years and for a maximum of 14 days, while US politicans and businessmen visit cuba regularly, take gifts to people close to Castro, buy cuban goods and do business with the same people who they claim to be evil and tryants. Where are the fines for breaking the embargo for these people?

OH! Lets go after M. Moore, the travel agency or better yet lets fine the guy who bought cuban cigars on the internet. How else do you define double standard? and yes it's true, there was a guy who got fined buying cuban cigars, look it up on Yahoo news...

Which date do I use for my timeline here?

I'm in kind of the similar situation. I mailed our petition to the NSC on May 7th but my online status states that they mailed they received and mailed the NOA1 on May 30th. When I received my hardcopy the received date is actually the date that I sent the petition (May 7th). The actual notice date is May 31st. From reading the forums we should use the received date. If you don't have a received date then you should use the priority date as the NOA1 date. Someone can feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.

Below is a link from the USCIS website regarding receipting notices (as of 08/17/2007). It clearly says that the actual date received will be honored and recorded on the receipt notice. This date will appear in the "Received Date" box. The received date is different than the "Notice Date," which identifies the date the receipt notice was actually generated.

Hi there! May dates are almost identical to yours...I mailed our petition on 5/3/07, it was received 5/7/07 in Nebraska, but my NOA1 and on the USCIS website it says 5/30/07. The strange thing is that on the hardcopy of my NOA1, the received date says 5/4/07...hmmmm. Mistake? Who knows :) But, the timelines seem to be driven by sent date and not NOA1 date, so I don't think it matters. I tried changing my NOA1 date to May 7th, and it didn't change things. Oh well, we just have to wait. I have to have faith that our turn is next :)

Hey thanks for the answer. I changed my sent date and it moved me up by about 3 weeks which seems to make me feel a little better. I hope we hear something in the next week or 2.
