Had the interview today and oath ceremony 1hr later at the Los Angeles processing center in downtown LA. Was taken in 30mins after the interview time, and it was around 30mins long. I had two long trips (5 months and 3 months) back to back with 6 days in the US in-between (3/3 years ago), which worried me. However, the officer didn't ask anything about it. He did ask a lot of questions around why we kept moving places, mostly during pandemic to get out of the city. Civic questions were easy, just basics around term lengths etc.

All in all, it was a very smooth experience. Good luck to everyone else.

The officer went through the entire application, line by line. But he asked follow up questions only around the places of residence.

What kind?

Clearly the screenshot shows certificate of naturalization was issued. It means they're already a citizen. It was a same day oath ceremony as the interview.

You get certificate on different day, the day of oath.

That is true so if Oath is on a different day then you don’t become a citizen until you get the certificate?

Yes, that's somewhat true. The moment you attend the oath and swear the allegeance, you become the US citizen. The certificate is just a proof of citizenship.

So what is the official day you become a citizen? It’s not when you pass the interview?
