Hello! I have a question and I really need help. Apparentely I filed a petition 2 month ago for my 20 year old son, we filed i-130 together with i-485. They are still processing, now I am filing the forms for my mother and I do not understand several things:

First, what should I write in form i-130 part 5 in question: "Have you ever filed petition for this beneficiary or any other relative". On the one hand this is related to me, but they are asking for the result, while we do not have it yet. After it there is a section: "If you are also submitting separate petitions for other relatives, provide the names of and your relationship to each relative". While on the one hand it is also can be related, but I did it two month ago, I do not understand which field exactly I should fill out.

Another related issue is with form i-864, part 5, how should I indicate my son in my houshold: as number 4-"dependent child" or number 6-"if you have ever sponsored any other persons on the for i-864 who are now lawful permanent residents". I am sponsoring my child but he is not permanent resident yet.

I will be grateful for any help with these issues.

Thank you!

Please clarify -- are you a US citizen?

Select "Yes" and provide the details about the I-130 petition for your son.  Enter "Submitted - In Process" for the Result field.

Count your son under item #4 for dependent children.

Note that if your mother is not currently in the US, the I-864 should not be submitted with the I-130 petition.
