Round trip ticket. CR1 visa

My wife's visa has been approved for her CR1 visa. However, she needs to return back to her country after a month in the US. She will come back to the US after a couple of months later, but I'm worried that US immigration or the airline will give her issues because of a return ticket back to her country. If I understood, once she enters the US, she needs to stay in the US and needs permission from US immigration to leave the country because here visa can be revoked. Is this a concern that my wife and I should be careful about?

With a CR-1 visa, she will be a resident as soon as she lands into the US. She can leave a month later with no issues. Just keep her visits abroad shorter than six months, since she a resident can lose residency if their visits are longer than six months. However, if she does need to stay longer than that, she should apply for a re-entry permit, which would allow her to stay abroad for 2 years with no risk of losing her status.

When your wife arrives in the US with a valid spousal visa, she will receive a temporary GC via the endorsement stamp in her passport.  She can turn around and go back the same day if she wishes as she will be a US LPR.

Good Luck!

They won’t give you an issue about that. Residents have a right to leave when they want, as long as they’re fulfilling residency requirements it’s fine. We bought a round trip ticket for my husbands IR-1 entry solely because it was about $100 cheaper than a one-way.

"If you understood".  No, you "misunderstood".  Her plan/need is not an issue.  She does not need "permission to leave".  Others have provided additional details.

NOBODY needs permission to "leave the USA".  What one needs is authorization to enter the country they are going to.

Do you know how long it normally takes for a re-entry permit? Does she need to apply for it in the united states?

She would need to apply for a re-entry permit from within the US, and be here until the biometrics are completed.  She can leave after that and I believe she can have the re-entry permit sent to the consulate in the country she is staying.  Current processing times for the re-entry permit are about 17.5 months.

Good Luck!

Correct.  Key timeline is filing to biometrics.  The OP's stated plan do not require any "permit".  Maybe they are thinking of a possible future issue.

I agree, with what the OP stated, a re-entry permit is not necessary.

Approval?  If you mean will the airline verify your documents that allows you to enter the U.S., yes, but other than that, no government approval is required.
