Lack of sex may encourage hard work

Fri Aug 3,

11:04 AM ET

BERLIN (Reuters) - German workaholics may be suffering from a lack of sex, according to a university study published on Friday.

A survey of 32,000 men and women by researchers at the University of Goettingen found over 35 percent of those reporting unsatisfying sex lives tended to use hard work as a diversion. Some 36 percent of men and 35 percent of women surveyed for the "Apotheken Umschau" newsletter said they were likely to put in extra time at the office and volunteer for extra assignments.

The hard work ethic was even more pronounced among those who reported having no sex -- 45 percent of men and 46 percent of women said they voluntarily took on more responsibilities.

"These findings are worrying," the leader of the study, Ragnar Beer, was quoted as saying

That's why I'm so lazy.

...where all you feel like doing is laying out naked in the backyard. :P

This gives me an idea. I am on a task force (blech) at work to brainstorm ways to introduce efficiencies into our current processes. I think I will suggest bonuses for workers who get their genitalia disabled.

Would that qualify for a Handicap Parking Permit?

They have task forces where you work, too? I wish we could go back in time, find the idiot that came up with the very concept of a task force and just eliminate him or her. Man, the trouble that would save.

As for your suggestion, I don't see how that would be of any benefit in your line of business. I always imagine that there ain't but a bunch of never touched geeks working in IT development. You guys should have no problem on that front.

I have little else to do. I don't have an EAD yet, or an SSN. The house is always clean- because of me I might add- and I rarely ever get a thank you for it .I am bored out of my f#cking mind. I was always so independant and now I have to rely on another for everything. I live in a house that will never feel like "my home"

I'm having a bad f#cking day.

But at least I have no tan lines
