But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

i'm still confused ... why was it so upsetting that someone 'may' have received a copy of your 'squeaky clean' record? obviously there was nothing to worry about then.

do you realize HOW easy it is to get people's personal information?!?!

glad you got it sorted though ... sorry you lost sleep over it.

Would you really want someone having your name, address, height, weight, eye color, and social security number who has a sordid past? I have had my identity compromised before, it can get really nasty, and it can cause years of trouble.

Sorry if you can't see why it was upsetting.

Good grief, one would think that the FBI would be more careful!!!! I am so sorry this happened to you (F)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

yeah i guess this would be upsetting to the average person ... glad it's resolved though!

but it's still amazing how many of you think your info is secure ... even with the FBI. the information listed is not hard to obtain on most people, believe it or not.

as for this other woman's 'sorid past' ... she could have been arrested and charged with all of those in connection with self-protection from an abusive husband, rapist, etc. this does not mean that she was guilty ... but they would in fact be on her criminal record due to an initial arrest. did it state the she was guilty, not guilty, nolo contendré, dropped, convicted, guilty in absentia, ignored, adjudicated guilty, acquitted, etc ...

maybe she's made amends and has started her life over. just think when she gets her report back and realizes that someone has her NOT SO 'squeaky clean' record in their hands with her name and address attached ...

just food for thought ...

yeah, it might be hard to obtain for the "average" person though  ...

it would still take some work.... but in this case the FBI possibly just handed it over to someone other then who it was intended for...

I guess I'm an "average person". An average person who would like to live with my husband, y'know see him every day? Wake up next to him, spend time with him, stuff newlyweds do.

Yeah, maybe my emotions involved in that aspect and the fact I'm (we're) all sitting around waiting for reports, clearances, medicals etc. as the countdown goes on... add to that I'm alone, miss my husband; I got the "golden ticket" in the mail.... the ONE item I had left to be able to submit my telephone-book sized application, and it was wrong... I guess you're right, I'm an "average person" who got upset.

And btw, why do you keep quoting "squeeky clean"? Does it bother you that I said I have a squeeky clean record? and that I expected to see "no criminal record" when I received my report? and instead saw "felony"? and that I am upset that the person-with-a-record-who-might-not-have-a-record-at-all was a representation to me, in general, and my personal data was in somebody else's hands BUT CERTAINLY NOT MINE!!

I'm applying for a visa to Canada; I assume you don't realize that EVERYTHING for us right now weighs on the receipt of this ONE record. If you can understand that every day I check the mail, hoping for it... and in my mind them adding time to this waiting is just one more day (minute, hour) in purgatory.... that the $200 I paid for a medical (which has an expiration date) is just tick tick ticking on the clock.

I don't know if it's just me but you're posts have been very condescending. So I flipped out. So I thought the worst. So f*ing what! we're all *ultra sensitive* during this trial/journey. I would think you could understand that.

Maybe only the "average" people do.
