No - we've heard nothing yet. I know that calling does no good and emailing the embassy does no good, but I emailed them anyways on Wednesday of last week, but have heard nothing as of yet. We've been on AP for over 8 months now. I really wonder what could possibly be taking so long. What more could they possibly want. I really think our file is sitting on the bottom of some stack in the corner of a room that is no longer used.

Try calling DOS and letting them know its been more then 6 months. They will do an inquiry. Our's was the 9 month long AP and a representative from DOS worked with me during the last month and a half of the process. It didn't speed the process but it helped me get through it. Good luck to you.

Not that this helps at all but my husband went to the Embassy on thursday and they said to come back on Sunday because there was no one there who works on immigration cases. He went there specifically to submit the two photos that they stated were missing from his file. All they had to do is take them and put them in the file and there was NO ONE who was capable of doing that, apparently.

I say this to let you know why you probably haven't heard a response to your email yet since apparently only one person works there who works on immigration cases and quite frequently (at least in my opinion since that person never even showed for our interview  the first time around) they're not even showing up for work.

I sent an email Monday and I don't expect a response until mid to late next week, just from the response time I've been getting from them. Good luck and I hope your situation is resolved quickly!

i feel like our case is at the bottom of the AP process/Security Clearance paper work stack.... i hear its pending security clearance here in the US and its been 3 months so far ! Its hard to make plans for life when i have no idea when he is coming here... and its depressing... IS it possible that our government forgot about doing our AP and checks??? and we are just waiting and waiting ??? what does everyone think ???

I saw someone post who had been waiting 3 years, few seem to go beyond a year.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Not about being a mood booster or anything. It is about people getting the correct info, filing out forms also correctly and being realistic. Bonne chance to the OP.
