I-864, signing the form

Hey there!

I'm the petitioner and USC... filling out the I-864 form as we're finally in NVC stage... I have a couple of questions about it though...

First off, how do I sign the form? The instructions are very clear in that the form needs to be signed, but the field where the signature goes...won't accept typed text. Am I supposed to print it and physically sign the form? How then do I recreate the document as a PDF for free??

Second question..."Sponsors Employment and income" page 4, section 6, item 6. I am currently unemployed and have been in the Philippines for the last 6 months with my wife. Previously mentioned item 6 will allow me to check the box for "unemployed since" but won't allow me to add a date...is this another scenario where I need to hand write in the information? I have a cosponsor, but even so, is it going to be looked at negatively if I write that my current individual annual income is $0? I have a house I own in the US that I'm renting out, but it's cash payments under the table... not sure I can count that as annual income as its just a temporary thing until I'm back to the US and the only thing I have to show for it would be bank deposits.

I appreciate any insight and advice you can provide me in this situation!

Print off the signature page , then scan the whole document .. need to use pdf compressing  software.. and upload to CEAC

Your “end “ date is going to be the date you sign the I864

No your 0$ income is not a negative .. that’s why you have a joint sponsor.
