TheI-129F instruction says to send court certified copies of the arrest record and or disposition. Are they asking for the certified copy that the court will mail to me or a copy of it? I don't want to send the actual certified copy because they might need me to show it later in the K-1 visa process.

Instructions states "court certified copies" or "copies of court certified copies"?

The instructions to the I129f states that all evidence shall be legible photocpies unless an original is SPECIFICALLY required.

Wow, a lot of strange replies to the OP's question.

The I-129F instructions clearly state "you must submit certified copies of all court and police records showing the charges and disposition for every arrest or conviction."

With that said, you generally just need to show the court's disposition of each charge.

So Yes, you must provide CERTIFIED copies of the court records.

If you are worried that you will need your certified copy later, you can just contact the clerk and order another set of certified copies by mail. Contact them for instructions. Depending on what embassy you use, they should just accept a scanned copy, but it depends on which embassy, and other factors. My embassy didn't have ask for a copy.

Thanks everyone for your quick response. I've decided it would be better just to send the court supplied copies and avoid the RFE. I was trying to avoid paying for my records because they are more than 15 years old and have been stored at an off site location.
