You require few things

1. High speed broadband in India

2. Buy slingbox (a special kind of tuner for cable or any kind of RCA output input which broadcast with RJ45 Connector over internet using default software provided by slingbox)

3. YOu should have good internet and PC on your side

4. Send slingbox to your SO or friend in india where you know for sure they have all channels for free or for 300 Rs per month thats how usually it work in india i guess

How it works very simple. You take a cable u feed the cable into Y-Splitter Which throws out two outputs. One goes behind the tv in india and other goes behind the slingbox. Now you plug your Ethernet also known as CAT-5E cable behind slingbox coming out of your cable modem, DSL modem or router.

FIre that up turn it on and you are all set. Now whats next.

You tell your So or friend goto www.myipaddress.com and get their ip and register with one of free services called DNS2GO or DYNS their are plenty of them online for free i can send u details if u plan to do this procedure. Then for example ip is like this 69.58.454.12 instead of typing this ip you will be typing someting liket his watchmyhometv.dns2go.com easy to remmber. Then all you do You open the software comes with slingbox on your laptop or pc in USA and enter the ip address of Slingbox where u want to connect it will straight connect to their cable in india. without any extra fee this method is sure shot way to get 1000 of indian channel aborad tested worked fine. Only problem is if you have Straight cable provider like comcast where you are not using any box like tivo or DVR you cant change channels on your own. You have to email or message ur SO or friend to change the channels.

Who knows ELW if you are inetrested you can host your own little business likt his. great money lot of ppl want forgein channels for little price and their is nothing illegal because BSA doesnt interfear with such piracy. In legal terms its not even piracy

You are from fresno. Their are so many ppl who dont even pay penny for Indian tv weather its punjabi, hindi, telgu any channels but thats illegal. I am telling u a legal way of doing it. Which wont get you in trouble guranteed. If you read disclamir warning and license agrement of Software provided with slingbox it explains everything. As long as you are not breaking any sort of encryption its safe. If you use some kind of BOX or DSS modulator then you should be worried. let me know if you need any more help. Interesting! I will check it out. My husband is very interested in Telugu channels, here a package through local cable costs over $35 a month I think. But as of now our financial situation does not even permit any cable at all, we don't even get local channels. Plus his family in India live in small village with only 2-3 channels available. oh no this slingbox is little pricy it runs about $150 to $300 depends what model u choose But if u look at overall thing 35*12 =420 you actually be saving money instead of loosing. But yes their are cheaper ways of doing also but they include more technical aspect and at some point they are illegal to do Which I wont recommend since he is new and just starting his career. You should give try to online channels I will find you some more and keep you posted with any telegu channels streams i came across. good luck
