I cannot start my own thread. Web browser problem?

i am like brother gary..cannot install or sue firefox at work, thanks to the IT computer geeks..at home, that i use it and Opera

Odd. You'd think that they would allow you to use a more secure browser if you wanted.

When I worked for the state (Indiana), we weren't allowed to use IE for anything but checking cross-browser compatibility. The sys-admin didn't want insecure bloatware being used on "his" network. I detest IE. I'd remove it if I could, but since it is also Windows Explorer.... well, Windows wouldn't work any longer if you could actually uninstall it.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Attack of the MCSE! For all the people I hear complaining on line about "H-1Bs taking their jobs" and "Outsourcing" taking their jobs, in my experience there do seem to be an awful lot of frankly incompetent people filling IT jobs.

LuckyStrike, Thanks alot for posting this! And to everyone who replied. I never noticed this thread. i will certainly look for an upgrade to Java and then try installing Firefox. It cant hurt. If it fails I'll just uninstall it. Thanks everyone!! Hopefully, I'll be able to start a topic tonight! Woohoo. :D:D
