Hello all,

I am looking for the best fares from Kiev to Atlanta. What sites do you recommend? I would rather she not stop in Paris (I am seeing alot of flights that stop there).

Airgorilla has some nice fares but I am looking for alternates too.

Thanks,

Jon

Try this one: http://www.airfare.com i found some good deals there on flights to canada. you might also try the airline's website. sometimes you can find some good deals there too. sidestep or kayak will give you the best prices for several airlines. good luck finding something! :)

Oh my Paris!! I won't even go into my tale of woe from there but I can tell you that my Olya will be taking British Airway from Uzbekistan when her time comes.

I think you can do well to price throught the airlines on the web and then give them a call on a Wednesday to check pricing with a real person. I have been told it is better to call then because tickets are released back into the system. Not sure how accurate that is but worth a shot if it saves a few bucks.

Also get a round trip ticket not a one way. Funny how roundtrip tickets are cheaper than one way. Go figure that logic or lack there of!

Seems like Aerosvit wants over $2000 for it's tickets while for $700 you can take a flight with a connection in Paris ?

Yea, I noticed that too.

My other option is to have her connect in London (LGW) but I'm worried she may get lost in that airport.

I have travelled via Paris on a few occasions and had no problems but one of the terminals is under construction at the moment and everybody gets transported by bus. Have you tried Priceline.com or Expedia.com? LGW is London Gatwick really not such a difficult airport to navigate it is nothing like Heathrow. Oh a while back one of the VJ members posted a site he hosted called triposcope.com give that a try too!

Good Luck

Good Luck with Plane ticket COSTS!!!!!!!! I just booked mine and my finacee's. And any thing after May 14 leaving the US round trip for me went from $1200 per ticket to a crazy cost of $1800 to $2300. The gas prices are affecting the fuel costs and it's starting to be the travel time of the year. And there passing the effects onto us. Bristh Airways is the highest but I will agree they are the best.

You might try orbitz. I usually use travelocity for domestic flights, but I got way better deals on orbitz for international travel. I dont blame you for wanting to avoid Paris, CDG is a real PITA. I felt like a 5-year old kid who got separated from her mom in the grocery store when I was in Paris.

Does no one use Travel Agents anymore?!!!

I have always compared the prices on Travelocity and Expedia with quotes I get from travel agents, and I always get better deals through travel agents. Too many people want to do everything online these days, and forget, it's much easier to let the travel agent do the work, and you can pick the tickets up directly from them, ensuring right then and there, that they are correct with the correct name spellings.

:yes: I agree with you on the travel agent, I always look for something and they have some "Special Deals" from the airlines in their computers. She did the best for me again this time, I always brought her something back from my trips to my lady. My travel agent liked and enjoyed the Russian Vodka  So always "Tip" your travel agent when you get back, I'm sure you'll need them again and enjoy your thank you. And don't forget the Vodka

Travel Agents are a good option, but if you want to go the Internet route I recommend cheaptickets.com. I just got a round trip ticket from LAX to Ekaterinburg, Russia, on Lufthansa, for $842! Well, with fees and other things it came to $1100 and some change. And the flight is for the end of July, so if you book now, you might still get a good deal. I bought these tickets on the 28th of March.

Hi,

I just got back a few weeks ago seeing my love. Nadya in Kiev. I found all my ticket on the internet. Big thing though is to get across the "pond" as they says as cheaply as you can. I tried all the sites mentioned here. I found a flight Chicago to Heatrow for $365. Then it was easy to find a flight going to Kiev. I paid $367 on Luftansa. Bottom lines is you can use discount sites to spy out cheap fares then go to the airline offering that fares and keep looking on there site. I ended up buy my tickets a couple of weeks out and I thought I got a great deal. Under $750 total! Just be patient and you can find the lowest price. This is tourist season and prices do go up sharply. Flying out of Toronto is a great idea. I flew last summer to london Gatwick for under $500. Fuel costs were high also last summer. So do not let that worry you. Good Luck

Scott
