Hi all,

I filed my i-751 a year ago and I'm preparing to apply for citizenship. We just found out that my attorney made a mistake on my I-751 form and had me as unemployed despite me being employed. Did anyone have a similar situation and how did you fix it ?

Where does I-751 ask for employment details? There is no such question in current edition of this form.

Great catch.  It is also interesting that the I751 form has not been updated in 4+ years.  Really let’s you know how much priority USCIS gives to it.

Maybe it's for the better. IMHO most of the times a USCIS form is updated, new more invasive questions get added 😅

I went back and compared it to the one my wife and I filed which was c. 2017, and I could not find a difference.

To the OP, as @OldUser pointed out, the I751 does not have a section asking for employment history, but if you have an error, and are called in for an interview (possible if filing the N400 soon), you will have a chance to correct anything that is wrong on the form.

You also may want to be much more careful with this particular attorney.

Good Luck!

My attorney made me think he made a mistake, he confused me with someone else 🤦🏻‍♀️ I checked the form again and there is no employment section. So all good
