I think so too, but what date do you put on the form? Maybe they'll go by that?

Ask him to delay by few days. Why take a risk?

I will have to go to this office tomorrow to review it before it is sent off. My PR date shows 2/26/19. This means I am eligible on 11/28/23 right?

Yes, if you met physical presence and continuous residence and other requirements, the earliest you can file is 11/28/2023.

I'd send the packet on 11/29/2023 and have all the forms have that date. This way your 10000% bullet proof. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I don't want to keep a slightest possibility of it going wrong.

My lawyer says it’s not a problem. He has been an attorney for decades so maybe he knows something we don’t?

So why do you even ask here if you truly believe what your lawyer says and will argue every answer we give you?

To work together as a team. Nothing wrong with that.

Right, but when you say that your attorney has been with immigration longer than us, it seems that you're more on the attorney team lol.

Plot twist: we have seen attorneys make horrible mistakes here. Seems that their teams were not really good lol

I am sorry. I never said my attorney has been a lawyer longer than you all. I meant that he has lot of experience and has done thousands of these applications.

You all are great. I went to the office today to review what was being sent out to catch mistakes. He also emailed me the final copy of what was sent today. Lawyer’s staff does for work then lawyer reviews it. I am beyond satisfied so far.

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason you are going through an attorney? I know some cases can be very complex and may require a lawyer. For others, it's just peace of mind.

Personally, I have not used one for any of my interactions with USCIS. I always figured all the information is available on the USCIS website, and for anything else, there's this forum, Reddit, and Google. 😄

With lawyers, it's just like with any other profession. Most are good at their jobs, fewer are excellent, and some are not worth the ink on their business cards.

Generally, I agree with what others here have suggested. If it were me, I'd err on the side of caution and send it out a day after officially being eligible. What difference do a couple of days make in the grand scheme of things? Good luck with the process! We're all in the same boat.
