Hello. We filed the N400 in November. We had filed the 751 in Feb 2023 but became eligible in November to do the n400 early due to years together/married. We've gotten no RFEs through this whole process, from K1 to now. I'm noticing most people from this month have at least had an interview. We haven't had anything except extension letters & a notification they're using my husband's prints from before.

How many more are still waiting?

I’m in the same boat as you. I haven’t heard a single thing. The status is case is being actively reviewed since Nov 28, 2023. My biometrics are being reused is what I heard last from them. Dallas is my FO. Many other applicants from Dallas have been receiving their interviews but not me 😓

AOS  (I-130, I-130A, I-131, I-693, I-485, I-765) from H1B, based on Marriage to a USC:

12/11/2019 - Package mailed via USPS

12/12/2019 - Package delivered

12/23/2019 - USCIS cashed the checks. Received text notifications from USCIS with case numbers (12/12 - Case was received, 12/19/2019 - Fingerprint fee was received)

12/27/2019 - Received the 4 NOAs in the mail

12/30/2019 - Received Biometrics Appointment scheduled for 1/10/2020

12/31/2019 - Biometrics Walk-In at Dallas, TX.  I-485, I-765 : Cases were updated to show that the Fingerprints were taken

01/09/2020 - EAD/AP expedite made (refer to my timeline for more details on this)

02/06/2020 - EAD/AP Approved

02/12/2020 - Received the Combo Card

02/14/2020 - I-485 updated to ‘Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview’

I-485 - Interview Scheduled at wrong state:

10/27/2020 - Received a text saying that an action was taken on my case

10/30/2020 - Received an email saying that an interview was scheduled - Case status : Testing and interview

10/30/2020 - Case status changed to 'Interview was scheduled'

11/04/2020 - Received the Interview appointment letter - scheduled in old state North Carolina for December 3rd

11/05/2020 - Called USCIS and requested to talk to Tier 2 officer - opened an SR

11/06/2020 - Received an email that the request was closed as they couldn't contact me - but they didn't

11/09/2020 - Opened another SR to talk to a Tier 2 officer

11/16/2020 - Tier 2 officer called and said that we need to interview at our home state, but I could take a chance and go to North Carolina.  So I requested to reschedule interview at Dallas, TX.

11/16/2020 - Received an email with a Referral ID and that my request was submitted to NBC

11/17/2020 - Received an email - my request to reschedule interview has been forwarded to a scheduling department

11/17/2020 - Received an email with my Case status: Testing and Interview and now it has the status - 'Request to reschedule my appointment was received'

11/10/2020 - Shipped EAD/AP renewal documents via USPS

11/12/2020 - USCIS received the documents

11/18/2020 - Received 2 texts with the Receipt numbers for I-765 and I-131, Case Status was - 'Case was Received and a receipt notice was emailed' for both the cases. Received no emails though

12/01/2020 - Received the 2 NOAs in mail

Hello Nov Community - Yesterday we had our interview, and we passed!

However, we did not have the same day Oath ceremony, and are waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Question: Others who had a similar experience (passed interviews, but waiting for Oath ceremony to be scheduled), in how many days did you receive your notice?

Just trying to assess the average wait time trend.

Good luck in your journey peeps! This will soon be over..Relish every step of this journey.

love,

Beautiful America

What questions did they ask?

We applied online and have Dallas FO as well. "Actively reviewing" since November 10, 2023.

According to the USCIS website after the estimated time went to 0 days, this is our status: Estimated time* until case decision: Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.

We also tried calling the local office but were only able to get the robot to respond. Hopefully we receive an update soon.

"Actively reviewing" in most cases means "nothing is happening".

Do you have I-751 pending? For how long?

Yes. Received the spouse visa back in January 2020. We filed the I-751 in December 2020. We have received the EXTENSION paperwork for the I-751 where it extended it for 4 years. They reused the Biometrics as well so that was not required. Everything is uploaded on USCIS website as well, nothing missing/etc.

ROC is probably the hold up. How come you filed I-751 9 months after receiving GC? You mean you filed I-751 in December 2021? Did you move between filing I-751 and now?

2021 - Yes

Moved - No

We filed the I-751 on Decemember 13, 2021.  Not 2020. Sorry for the misprint.

No we haven't moved since that filing. Latest update on the I-751 was the Notice letter for extension we received in March 2023.

I see, I asked because sometimes people move, their case gets updated (RFE, NOID), but they never know because online portal doesn't always update. Looks like you're good, since you received extension letter in 2023.

You can try involving congressman OR you can file WoM to get your case moving.

Interview done (quick & easy) now waiting for my oath to be scheduled.

For what it is worth, the I asked the officer about uploading a request for a combo interview. He laughed and said that it has zero impact on whether you get a combo interview or not.

Request is not an order, of course USCIS will decide whether they're ready conduct combo / have the capacity.  But they were cases when IO was surprised / didn't know I-751 was pending. This letter is to make sure they're aware. It's optional. Thank you for asking that question for us!
