Hello everyone. Is there an example of a religious exemption letter that I may look at for the I-601 form? I have been based in the states for 9 years. USCIS has requested  that I complete a medical examination for Green Card. My lawyer has never filed a I-601 form before; therefore, he hasn't been particularly helpful in this process. It is not an option to currently seek alternative legal advice. Any assistance is much appreciated in this matter to help me prepare my personal statement.

That will depend on the religion.

An I 601 is much more than just a letter, and a lawyer who does not know how to do one, not come across that before.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

They are not very common

There was a poster here form Israel earlier this year who did one by herself. Just use the search button or pay @Redro to pull it out for you. She's our beloved librarian.

Just kidding about the payment.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
