How soon did you get your EAD approved?

It's a month now since the receipt date and I really need to get a job soon. How long does it usually take for the EAD to get approved? I know we have to wait for 90 days, but does it usually take that long? Could I try setting an appointment via InfoPass to check if they could give a temporary one even if I've been waiting less than 90 days? Do they usually approve those requests? Thanks!

02/24/06 Sent my application to Chicago

02/26/06 USCIS received my application

03/02/06 Receipt date on NOA for I-130,I-131,I-485,I-765

03/08/06 Touched I-130,I-131,I-485,I-765

03/21/06 Biometrics appointment for I-485,I-765

I think most people wait 90 days to get EAD.

I had NOA for EAD on Dec 8th.

Received my card in the mail on March 3rd

Sent off application May 24th 2005. EAD finally approved October 17th 2005. No RFE's for my EAD... just fell into a black hole.

It took about 75 days from the time they received the application until the EAD arrived.

Over 100 days here. Just got the email approval last Friday 31st March and awaiting the card in the mail. Mine was delayed because of an RFE though.

Wes' took about 75 days. The card came about a month after the biometrics.

It took them a YEAR to process David's card. They lost his biometrics the first time, then they only took one set of fingerprints instead of two. It was a nightmare. However MOST people recieve their card within 90 days. Good luck!!

Unfortunately, you are ineligible for an interim EAD until 90 days have passed since your NOA1.

Sometime between 90 and 100 days, never quite calculated it out. DH's bio appointment was after day 90, and it was approved a few days after that.

Your EAD application seems to be coming along nicely. I would say the touch after your Biometrics is a good indication that you should be approved soon. My wife's biometrics appointment is next week and we're optimistic she will have her EAD in the next 6 weeks or so.
