We filed for CR-1 but at this rate we will be married for 2 years before the interview at the embassy, qualifying us for IR-1. Does anyone know what the process is in this case? Do they switch it over automatically?

You should get IR-1 in passport. If not, you should still get 10 year GC upon entry to the US. If not, can always file I-90 pointing out error by USCIS.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Jamaica

Yeah they do. Nothing for you to do.

Same thing happened to me.

I got married in 2022 and filed 1 year later and now we have been married for 2 years and our I130 has not been approved as yet.
