My husband is from Costa Rica too. We are waiting on the DQ from NVC and then interview in Costa Rica. You waited 16 months for the interview notice after DQ? I was hoping he would have his interview this summer... I didn't know Costa Rica was taking so long.

16 months for i130. Got approved for that in March.

NVC documentarily Qualified today. CR1 Mumbai Embassy. They send ILs every 25th of calendar month, for next month i.e. on 25th of April, they will issue ILs for everybody who NVC DQd, for Interview from June 1st onwards.

11/14/2023 i130 filed online, CSC IOE9 number, GC Holder for Spouse

11/27/2023 i130 actively reviewed

03/18/2024 Upgrade Request from F2a to US Citizen approved. Sent to DOS next day.

03/28/2025 NVC Welcome Email. Allowed to pay AOS & IV Fees next day. Fees changed to PAID in 2 days.

04/02/2025 Uploaded i864 & Financial Documents.

04/04/2025 Filled DS260 & uploaded Civil Documents. All statuses now are Submitted.

04/11/2025 Documents Qualified. NVC Status Accepted.

Did you folks use form I864EZ to do your affidavit of support?

 

Currently waiting on my payment to process.

Yes. I864EZ's first section has 3 yes/no questions. It tells you that you can use this only if you answer Yes to all three questions. Otherwise you have to use the regular i864.
