Do I have to enter the U.S with my fiancée after K1 is approved?

I know it most likely will help the entry to the U.S go smoother if I do travel side by side with my fiancee, but I wanted to make sure that just in case I cannot take PTO from my job to return that she will be okay entering on her own. I am already attending the interview with her in a few days and it is a 50/50 chance that she will received her passport (once approved) before I leave back to the U.S.

Has anyone had experience entering the U.S on their own on a K1 visa? Of course, I would be the one to pick her up from the airport, but the thought of not being side by side makes both of us a bit nervous.

requirements are  u r already in US ahead of her

OR enter with her

1st time to travel,  we r all nervous and that's understandable

any layovers?

make sure luggage is transfered to final destination and layovers are just that and she doesn't have to pick up a ticket at a stop as that could require visa for.  (like ticket to a country and then ticket from there to POE in US or Canada)

mention her country/embassy and your state for best answers from those going thru the same travel process

Thank you for your response! The country she will be traveling from is the Dominican Republic to the airport in New Jersey, no layovers. Hopefully we are able to travel together when the time comes because she will most likely not have any cell service to keep me updated when she arrives if we are separate.

If the cell is paid for completely,  send her a US SIMS card and a prepaid card so she can add those minutes at the last moment to activate it

then she can call as soon as CBP are finished with the process /she will not be allowed to use cell until CBP is satisfied

International flight without having to take the tram for a connecting domestic flight.  u can wait by luggage carousel for her /u've done it /  u know how this works

If u do get to fly back with her,  the officer who directs people to USC lines told me i could bring Adil thru that line with me,  but we did Chicago and every one of these people may say something different

Even non US phones work in country via roaming capabilities.  The only downside is that it is more expensive and buying a load might be more complicated.

There's free airport WiFi in US. Use Whatsapp to communicate wherever she is at the baggage. Pick her at baggage exit.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
