She has a GC, the I 551 stamp so as a new immigrant she should be good to go. Did she get her SSN.

No, we are in the Adjustment of Status process. We received an NOA and have a biometrics appointment.

You are showing CR1.

So you need NoA, is this a K1?

Adding anyone to your insurance is pretty pricey. For exams and birth control I would cash pay it and go to a local planned parenthood. will get you by for a year or so, and then deal with the insurance nightmare later. Planned parenthood is usually really reasonable.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Adding her to your insurance, or getting her her own policy  is essential. There is more to health care than birth control and exams.  My husband qualified for insurance through the Marketplace even before his Social Security card arrived. OP, to answer your question, she should qualify for CoveredCA https://www.coveredca.com/learning-center/information-for-immigrants/

I just added my wife to my insurance through work, not much effort required there. Doubled the monthly cost but worth it for the peace of mind.
