For Cr1 Visa my spouse is turkey requires the certificate. Our embassy is in Ankara, we were approved IR1 - i130 and now I am getting the supporting documents for the Ds 260.  We use Edevlet portal which is in the instructions but there is an error message and I cannot obtain the document. Anyone else know what I can do here?

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Turkey.html I followed the instructions here to use Edevlet.

this is the error message "Your transaction could not be completed due to a technical glitch in the system."

it would be best for the spouse in Turkey to get the required documents from Turkey as they also need to have  an English translation and he can send u copies as they are accepted by NVC   .  He will need originals for his interview so leave them with him.

Whoa!  Police reports in the local language where the interview takes place do NOT need translations.  However, the applicable document is available in English anyway, if the applicant so chooses.  (actually several languages).  If the website isn't working, try again over the next couple days.  If still no good, she has the option to go to the National Police office and request it directly.

NVC needs the translations for supporting the DS 260 which is where she is at

according to state department

Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that:

  • The translation is accurate, and
  • The translator is competent to translate.

It probably really is just a temporary glitch in e-devlet. Try again later. And you can get the document in English directly off e-dealer, no need for any translating.

No need to translate any documents in Turkish at this stage of the process anyway.  USCIS, yes.  Consulate in same country as document, no.
