My wife and stepson entered the US, prior to meeting me, under Ukranian Humanitarian Parole (UHP) status. After they were here, we were introduced by a mutual friend, started dating and got married. Now I'm working on filing for her and my stepson's adjustment of status. I'm trying to use the USCIS online portal. I have a few questions on processes...

  1. Can I file the majority of the paperwork online? They only seem to have a "form" for the 130 and had me add the 130A as evidence. Do I also add the 485 and 864 as evidence? Or do those have to be filed physically?
  2. Do I do a separate online petition for my stepson? Then the same as question 1.
  3. Is it a separate 485 and 864 for each of them as well?

Thanks in advance!

I think currently it is easier to file on paper.

Yes

Yes there are some more forms, have you read the guides?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You did not mention EAD or AP so I wondered.

I would just do it all paper.

Still leaves AP and the child

I-130 and I-130A can be filed online.  If you do, you will use the online receipt number for the I-130 on the I-485.

I-485 has to be paper and mailed.  Same for I-864.

It is easier just to do everything on paper and send it in as one package.

G-1145 is for text notification.  I-131 for advanced parole, I-765 for employment authorization.

If she they have their EAD and SSN, i would skip I-765.  I would file all the rest.

I like filing for everything, especially if it is free.

I also file, for my stepson, the 130, 131, and 485? It looks like he is included on a singular 864. Do I send them in the same packet with one filing fee? And it's a separate filing fee for the 130 and the 485? Is it doubled for the 2 of them together or just one filing fee for the pair?

Yes, every person requires their own AOS packet and filing fees.
