Hi all! Im a 25 y f and I have a 22 y M fiance from northern ireland, we just filed the petition for the K1 visa, neither of us have kids or have been married before and no criminal records. We consulted with a lawyer who said our process should be straight forward as we have a TON of evidence. We are being processed at the California service center, which online says its about 15 months at this time to process, does anyone have experience with this visa and this service center, Any insight is helpful

One of our go-to videos is "Muscled studs ###### on the beach," which always gets us both hot and bothered.

Everyone goes through this service center other than a very small percentage of petitions that have background issues that get sent to Vermont.

Welcome to VJ.  This is the best place for accurate immigration information.  I assumed the attorney explained what to expect during the K-1 process.  Good luck on your journey.

Yes, the majority of K1’s go to the California service center and 15 months sounds right for an estimate. Here is the guide that will show you what else to expect:

This is great news then! We have mailed our petition last week and hopefully it doesn't take as long as what we have previously read, about 15-18months.

Hi! We  got our NOA1 last 20-Nov. So I was just wondering where and how did you know that the processing time now hopefully takes about 6-9months? I am still crossing my fingers about this. bcos I have read on the uscis site, it is still about 16months.

You can see the stats here

I-129F Processing time has been going down every month

This comes with asterisk. 6 months is calculated based on the size of their current backlog and current processing speed. Processing speed can unfortunately vary widely, currently it is about 5000 I-129F cases per months. IF USCIS keeps up that speed, backlog will continue to shrink and filers who just now submitted their I-129F approvals might see their action on their case in as little as 6 months. But there are no guarantees when it comes to USCIS and political changes coming next year.
