Hey Everyone! I was approved on Nov 12th but I have not received anything from NVC. So I contacted NVC last week, and they haven’t received my approved petition from USCIS yet. It is going to be 3 weeks tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m trying not to panic but is this normal? 🥺

They also told me not to contact them again before 60 days 😓

This is normal. Things with immigration take time as you might have seen already.

For Dreamer25: We received our NVC notice of receipt within four days of being approved. We paid the processing fees the same day but are still waiting for them to be in ‘paid’ status. Maybe you should try reaching I out to Emma/INFOPASS for help since you already tried the NVC? It does state up to 45 days for the USCIS-NVC handoff, but from what I’ve been reading it’s typically just a couple of weeks. I hope it’ll be soon for you.

Thank you so much, miha25 and OldUser. I just contacted a live agent through Emma, and she said the USCIS no longer has the jurisdiction of my case - please contact the NVC
I hope this means something good!

Hi Dreamer25, have you heard anything yet? We seem to be in the same situation as my approval was also the 12th and it has been silence from NVC. I tried contacting and heard the same as you. I am considering maybe trying to go through my congress person but I am not sure if I should.

Hey, no update yet! I contacted NVC again and was given the same response. I am waiting a few more days before reaching out to my senator. They may or may not help, but I don’t see why we should not

@miha25How much are the fees after being approved? I am a September 17th filer.
