I got approved on 10/09 and the status got updated to approved on 10/10 and nothing happened since then. I haven’t even gotten the update of your case was sent to department of state. I’m seeing a lot of people got their case sent to department of state soon after they got approved. Starting to get a little worried 🙁

You can call USCIS to find out. Inquiries can be made to NVC, but you want to make sure USCIS has sent your case to them

I did make an inquiry and I’m waiting to hear back. Uscis told they had already sent it to the NVC

When I checked my case status today, it has stayed the same since we submitted it. Is this good news or bad news? Doesnt seem like they have done anything with it. Two different cases, wife and step daughter.

"On August 4, 2023, we received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number IOE......, and sent you a receipt notice or acceptance notice. The notice describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

(I-130 stand alone) I got the RFE message and I’m having issue with this particular coversheet. I’m the beneficiary and I was in my home country Nigeria when we submitted our application, I’m presently in the UK pursuing my masters degree. Do I tick the beneficiary box and write my new address or it’s only the petitioner that should write the new address

It’s the Petitioners address they’ll need, USCIS focuses more on who’s Filing because that’s how they send letters or emails.
NVC updates both parties while the Embassy focuses solely on the beneficiary. Sorry about the RFE, I pray it doesn’t take long to get your approval
