Anyone from the August thread already received the NVC Welcome Email? My case just updated yesterday saying sent to Department of State so I’m assuming it should be at the NVC now. Hopefully…🤞🏽

I was just going to ask this? How long does it take to get sent to department of state because I have my approval in my documents but status still says actively reviewing

I was approved on 10/12 but status stayed on actively reviewing until 10/16 when it updated to approved. It then updated to case sent to Department of State yesterday, 10/19. Someone also shared this link with me to be able to check NVC timeframes, which apparently updates once weekly.

This may be a stupid question but does the file creation apply to everyone? Because does that mean we will have to wait another month for NVC to create our accounts?

NVC is applicable to everyone doing consulate processing so yes, unfortunately applicants in that category will need to wait for file creation. Hopefully it doesn’t take a month. I’ve seen many people receive their welcome emails in a couple days but things are seemingly slowing down now as I’ve seen quite a few September approvals still waiting. But I’m been cautiously optimistic…

I got approved on 10/09 and the status got updated to approved on 10/10 and nothing happened since then. I haven’t even gotten the update of your case was sent to department of state. I’m seeing a lot of people got their case sent to department of state soon after they got approved. Starting to get a little worried 🙁

I wonder if they have an option to put in an inquiry
