Just received my weekly estimate and it went from "any day now" last week to "December 12th", which would be sixteen months for processing. Did anyone else get this upsetting estimation today? Hoping this was some sort of error.

I wouldn’t trust that because it’s just an estimate based on folks that have got approved in visa journey. Some people get approved faster some are still waiting. Mine has changed multiple times. I’m august 9th but the last approval I seen was August 4. Hoping this week we hear something 🙏

Thanks for the encouragement, E. Our standalone i-130 estimated approval date vacillates somewhat, too, but this December 12th date was a bit of a shock after, "any day now" last week. Did anyone else get an estimated date in December?

My estimate also said any day now. I just checked and it’s now between Oct 15th to Dec 1st. But this is just an estimate. We don’t know how accurate this is for everyone, and they already started approving Aug cases. Lets stay hopeful 🙏

I find VJ's estimates have been erratic since around March when I-130 processing times started slowing down. I think the best way is to focus on who got approved most recently, what their PD was, and then calculate the amount of total days it took for them to get an approval. Apply those days to your own PD to give yourself the most accurate and current prediction.

Our I-130 was filed in September 2023 and the same time you posted this, my estimate went up to January 2025 by VJ. It's now back down to the 'Nov - Dec' range.
