Hi All,

Well I am now in the States and am married! We are now contending with the AOS but having spent some hours on VJ reading all of the tips, we are soooooo confused.

I got a K1 from the UK - do I need the I-693a supplemental? Also, do I need to provide any medical info because we were not given anything from the medical except the x-ray.

If we got through the other affidavit of support OK (and our money status hasn't changed) should we be OK when we file the I-864?

Do we need to provide any relationship evidence with the AOS package or do we wait for the interview?

I applied for my SSN before we were married - does it need to reflect my name change or can I do that while the AOS in the mail? IE do I need to have my married name changed on everything.

If we should be RFE'd once we have sent our package off - is there an extension of time that we can get since my I-94 expires on 31st August?

One last thing - back in June we filed for a change of address (by paper) and haven't received anything back from them - is this normal or should we chase it up?

Thx!!!

For AOS you will need your vaccination record transfered to an I-693A Supplement by a civil surgeon in the USA, get a copy of vaccination records from your doctor and bring it with you, my wife had the appropriate vaccinations done before leaving China, and they gave her a vaccination record, that we later got transfered to a supplement.

If we got through the other affidavit of support OK (and our money status hasn't changed) should we be OK when we file the I-864?

Yes, the same level of income, is good for the I-864 income above 125% povertyline, We used the same financila data for the I-864 (IRS returns for past 3 years, IRS transcripts for past 3 years, a letter from my employer, and a few recent pay stubs.)

Do we need to provide any relationship evidence with the AOS package or do we wait for the interview?

NO, just gather it up for interview, Read the AOS guide. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

No need to get name changed on the SS card until you either have EAD or Green-Card, SSA office tends to have a problem with this. At least you did get the SSN. File your AOS in your married name, and show maiden name on the line "Name on I-94" and on G-325A as other names used.

There is no extending the I-94 so forget about it. Filing the AOS, extends your legal presence in the USA until they make a decision on the AOS.

You wont get an acknowledgment about the filing of AR-11, you can call USCIS to confirm the address change.

NOTE: also file I-765 for EAD with AOS, there is no additional charge for it now that the fees have gone up. NEW fee for AOS is $1010
