partial year Section 217

When I thought I knew everything so I can finish my Canadian return I learned about the partial section 217, so I can get back some of my EI non-resident tax. But I am confused about claiming it.

My 2005 income is only from Canadian sources, worked until Sept. 2005 when moved to US. After Sept. I received EI and interest for my savings (Canadian bank).

But where do I put the amount calculated on Schedule C (part 3 line 31) since there is no line 445 on the "normal" Schedule 1 that I have to use?

Should I leave CRA to deal with it and I would just attach Schedules A, B and C with a note?

And another thing, should I include the EI in the Total Income listed on line 150, or I should ignore it there and add it on Schedule A line 4 (other Canadian income along with the interest earned Sept-Dec 2005) so the correct 2005 total income (line 16 schedule A) will be used on line 25 of Schedule C (part 3: Section 217 tax adjustment)?

In other words, how do I deal with partial year 217 when I have wages and interest before moving to US and EI and interest after that?

I started to panic since there is no much time left for the US return (where I need the Canadian return) and the blame is only on me, I thought it will be easy and now I realize I don't know all the details.
