Yes. You will just have to explain it is tax exempt and show a letter detailing your benefits. @Crazy Cat knows more about it I believe…

If I am a disabled veteran and I receive disability (pension) from the military can that be used as a source of income to file using a i-130 to bring my wife to the U.S?

Yes.  You will need a copy of your VA benefits letter.  That can be obtained on the "E Benefits" site.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you so much and I have another question for you! So one of the requirements says that I have to give a copy of my tax transcripts from the IRS for the last three years. So I’m getting married in October and I plan to come back to the states in November and file. Do you think it’s a good idea if I wait until January 2024 to file since I only started getting my benefits 2022 for example I would have to provide 2023,2022,2021

But I only received them 2023 2022?

Only the most recent tax year documents are required.  The 2nd and 3rd most recent tax year documents are optional.  Your CURRENT annual income is important.  What you earned in past years is not so important.

Current annual income is calculated as follows:

Gross income from most recent pay period multiplied times the number of pay periods per year.  Example:  Even If you just started receiving $2000 per month, the current annual income would be $24,000.00

1. where is your partner now?
2. where will your partner be in 2024 when you plan to file?
2. When you say file do you mean file taxes or file the I-130?
3. you should be filing taxes every year unless you have a reason to not file taxes.

I’m getting married in October and I plan to file the I-130 in November. She is in Nigeria currently and will remain there until she is granted the visa.

Yes I receive disability from the Va and I wasn’t getting to prior to 2022 and I was in college so I didn’t meet the requirements for 2 at all. But what I thought I would do is bring in a third person to sign an affidavit of spouse support to help me.

File the I130 as soon as you can.
The financial support documents are not needed until the I130

is approved. This takes about 12 months currently.

You will only have to submit the I864 with benefits letter and tax transcripts in about 12-13 months. And you have to complete this paperwork even if you don’t qualify.

it is probably prudent to obtain a joint sponsor if someone agrees to signing their own I864.

Good luck on the start of your journey. Be aware it will take about 2-3 years before you spouse can join you in the US.
You can see timelines for Nigeria here.

that is the form u will use (much later in the process-the NVC stage, u will do the I 864)

study guides above will help u with the process

if u do not file tax returns ,  request a letter from IRS  to say "no tax returns filed"

Download IRS Form 4506-T.
  1. Complete lines 1 – 4, following the instructions on page 2 of the form.
  2. Line 3: enter the non-filer's street address and zip or postal code. ...
  3. Line 5 provides non-filers with the option to have their IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter mailed directly to a third party by the IRS.

You file the I 130

Yes, the I-130.  Start by becoming an A-Student of the form and its instructions.  Follow this guide.
