CR1 application while in US on L1

Hi,

Hopefully someone can give me some pointers.

I am a UK citizen with a US citizen wife of 10 years. We’ve lived together in the U.K. for 8 years. I’ve never lived in the US.

We don’t have any sponsorship options to apply for the CR1 now.

I'm exploring applying for a transfer with my company to their US division. I think this would be an L1 visa, right?

My question is, if I was in the US with the family on an L1 visa, would it be possible to switch to a CR1 visa as my wife would be able to sponsor as she’d be working in the US and bringing in an income.

Wondering if anyone has any advice or experience with this.

Thanks in advance,

If you enter on an L1, yes, your wife could still petition to adjust your status to a spousal visa.

You mention family.  Do you have children?

Yes we do indeed. 3x that have US citizenship and 1x that does not and is not eligible.

Appreciate your advice. Thank you.
