I received a notice in my CEAC dashboard that my income was insufficient for sponsoring my spouse.

Therefore I'd like to add a household sponsor to my account, however there is no option to do so.

I emailed the embassy about adding the sponsor, but I received a form response about uploading documents.

Has anyone had this experience?

Should I upload the household member i864a, the new i864a, and supporting documents to my own documents area?

Or should I just bring them to the interview?

Thank you

Have you been dq’d by the nvc? Or was everything expedited and forwarded to the embassy? Make sure to have co-sponsor paperwork for the interview, and try uploading it to ceac, since embassy might request you to do so. Co-sponsor goes in the petitioner’s area.

Yes I've been DQ'd.

The case is currently at the embassy.

My spouse's interview is in a couple weeks.

There's no option to add a co-sponsor in the CEAC dashboard anymore.

If your message says you MAY want to add a joint sponsor, then you can ignore the message, if your current income and/or liquid assets are clearly sufficient.  This is a stock message sent to all who don't show enough income on the most recent tax return.  The Consular Officer will make the decision.  Do....YOU.....think your current income qualifies?

Pushbrk, my 2022 tax return info does NOT qualify because of tax deductions.

However, my 2023 income shown on my paystubs more than qualifies, however I'm self-employed.

I have assets in savings accounts and investment accounts in the US that that well make up the difference, which I declared on my i-864, however I keep reading that they don't accept assets.

They do accept assets. If you are self employed, your "current income" is the same amount as the total income on your personal federal tax return for 2022.  Pay stubs mean nothing to the self employed person.  It is "revenue" now and will only be considered income when it is on a tax return.

You will need a minimum of 3X the income shortfall in liquid assets to qualify.  They evidently see that you have the assets.  That's why you are DQ.  If you feel you are well qualified based on the combination of income and liquid assets, ignore the message.
