Too long absence?

I received a Green Card and Social Security Card, and about to enter the United States. It has been over six months

since my last entry. i spoke to a lawyer who suggested that presenting a bank account opened online should satisfy the CBP, if i get questioned.

I last entered in February 2023. and about to enter now on a round-trip flight

My plan is to return to my home country temporarily, do some stuff regarding the big move, and then fly back to the United States in one direction flight.

I apologize in advance if this is not the right forum to ask for such advice.

What can I do or show if i'll get asked about my absence?

How long were you here when you first came

How long are you coming for now

Seems you are using a green card as a tourist visa.

Whatever you reasons are.

No one here is going to help you fabricate a story for CBP.

I think there is a misunderstanding here and it is because of me of course, maybe the language barrier, maybe because I am not clear enough

I just wanted to hear about other cases that were in the same scenario so I could prepare myself for the possibility
There is no truth or lie here

You won't find a huge amount of people who take (what will be) 17 months to pack up their old life and move to the US.  You get a 12 month grace period - give or take - at the time of activating your green card, and you're looking to extend that grace period even longer.

I'd get a re-entry permit.

thank you. appriciate it.

Yep, I agree with the above advice, this is too risky. I'm struggling to see why you need to return to your home country to 'do some stuff regarding the big move', when you've already had 9 months since you left the US to do that. And a border officer may see it the same way.
