Is that a joke? 😅

It’s not a joke. You had to sign it and swear that everything you stated in there is truth. You signing something that is not true and giving that information to the government is fraud.

They didnt show me, they filled and sent it already and didnt even show me until 2 days before interview.

So you had time to review it before the interview. You went to the interview knowing that the document was misleading. Your chance was the interview. Go in and say “there are some things about the form that I’ve submitted that I need to correct.” So again, no, you didn’t have to go along with that.
Now, onto your question, whether to reapply or not, I wouldn’t unless your ties to home country significantly change, and you’re 100% honest about your trip. And that’s not even a guarantee, since by law DHS has to assume immigrant intent

I don't think the OP even signed it, I think the 'agency' did on her behalf. 😲

I never said she did. I said "You had to sign it", meaning you should have signed it after reviewing and making sure that the information was all true and correct.

Oh, apologies, I thought 'you signing something' meant you thought she'd signed it.

She may well have done, we could be wrong, but it reads to me as if she never even saw it which is even more worrying!  If the 'agency' are submitting and signing documents on people's behalf without power of attorney or similar, then I can't imagine that's legal.

True. You can't imagine how unethical these agencies can be. They love to state that you're married when you're not, because being married is a strong tie to someone's country. You can only imagine what happens if the tourist visa gets approved, the applicant visits the US, marries a US and are asked about previous relationships... Pretty hard to get a divorce decree from a non- existent marriage.

It's crazy, if they are signing applications on other people's behalf then unethical is right. I can't imagine giving control over to somebody else for something that important.

They never show me to review before submit. Until 2 days before interview i came to their office i want to check what did they fill. So i asked them why did they say i go alone, and then they told me its ok the form is not important i can tell the CO that i go with my friend.

To be fair most, all? cases I have seen the Agency fills out the DS 160 but the applicant submits it, seemingly and who really knows this did not happen in this case.

The argument then being well I did not fill in the application, when it is pointed out they signed it, they go back to well I did not fill it out. All very weird.

Anyway turning up at an interview with a DS 160 filed which says you signed and being interviewed bases on that submitted and signed DS160 makes any further discussion moot. You owned it.

But you went to check what they did two days prior to the interview.... So again, the interview was your chance to correct anything that was misleading. It's somehow true that who you are travelling with is not relevant, however, you were not completely honest about your trip and the destination. And you knew that before coming to the interview. There's a statement n the DS-160 that say that you swear under penalty of perjury that the information in the form is true. You keep forgetting about that.

Nope, you signed off on it, and you attested that all of the info was factual.

One for Jim?

On the reapply form should i just mention travel around right?

You should “mention” whatever is TRUE.

Just now, Boiler said:

Does Jim even bother with tourist visas?

Not as a Firm, he says there is no point. And I respect him for that.

But he does get people call in with sort of similar issues. I do not see everything and when I watch I tend to fast forward but on his show the number of Nigerian cases involving B visas where Agencies have helped and married off applicants has become a bit of a standing joke. Remember Jim sees his role as helping all migrants and repeats it constantly, so not as if he is not innately sympathetic. I did see someone call him out for negative comments about Nigerian applicants, he did not like that. Nobody is saying everyone is doing it, but when you see it several times a week and you know you are seeing just a tiny percentage of the cases, well.

Oh yes, but that’s different.   The Nigerians who list a fake marital status on the DS -160 in order to increase chance for tourist visa end up paying the price when they want an immigrant visa later, and that marital status must be addressed.
