My husband completed his biometrics appt on 11/27. Status online updated on 11/27 to cases being actively reviewed. No walk ins are allowed at my office.

I765 says estimate of 2 weeks for a decision

I485 says estimate of 4 months for a decision

Fingers crossed, EAD decision falls within that timeline.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving 😀

Still waiting for the mail to deliver the RFE the case tracker says was mailed on the 14th of November. Still have not received the access code in the mail either......sigh.  I tried the USCIS request program since we have not received the RFE and it says we need to wait until the 30th to do the request.

Have you tried contacting USCIS via a live agent for the code? They can have another one sent to you if you did not receive the access code.

Where is the tracker for this one found.

https://www.casestatusext.com/forms/I-485/IOE-LB as @grumpypiggy stated .... there are also status approvals for EAD, AP, etc.

I am in the 09-226 block.

Had to get CA court name change as Wife wanted a name that didn't conform with the allowable name change options and we got that complete.
Yesterday, went to the Social Security office to change SSI Card and was told that the they were unable to change the name as the I94 was within 2 weeks of expiration.
Now we must wait (like for Drivers License) for the EAD card to be issued before we can update other government documents .... aiaiai

really can't trust estimated time remaining on the MY.USCIS.GOV site ....
EAD was 2 weeks, went to 3 months, back to 2 weeks and today is 1 week (online)

AP was 5 Months, went to 2 months, and back to 5 months today (online)

AOS was unlisted, went to 6 months and is stuck there ...

So, for now, it is just wait and see ... and hope ....

Hi All,

Thanks for the info on this forum its really helping.

My NOA for my EAD was 9/27 and my biometrics was 10/31 still have nothing for both my EAD and AOS but it says they are actively reviewing my case.

on my online account the AOS states '5 months' on the 'Myprogress' section

for my EAD it originally told me '2 weeks' until case decision on 'Myprogress' after my biometrics appointment on 10/31.

2 weeks went by a while ago and it is just stuck on :

'Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.'

Is anyone else in this same position?

I just feel like i'm stuck in limbo all over again.

USCIS are insufferable they have no regards to us honest people who left everything, have came here legally, waited over 2 years and just want to get our lives back on track and off pause mode !

Just used ask Emma.  It gave me an access code.  Added the case to my account.  Found the Biometrics letter and the RFE.  The Biometrics is scheduled for tomorrow at 1pm.  Can we arrive early and how long does it usually take as I have to work (Petitioner) at 4pm.

The RFE is for the I-864, it says they could not determine if I the sponsor am qualified.  I receive a Pension every month which is over $110K a year, I do not have W-2's.  I have the 10-99R if that's what they want, but I sent them the last 3 months retirement pay stubs which shows the monthly amount along with the last 3 years tax transcripts, and the annual pension letter from my Pension program which shows what I receive every month.

I own a house but am still making mortgage payments on it.  No way I can find a joint sponsor.

Apparently whoever did the data entry for the address also put in the mailing address wrong and that is why the documents never arrived.  How do I change that?

There’s an option for change of address on myUSCIS

also you should be in and out of biometrics in about 30min.. print the documents for the biometrics appt and take it with you because it needs to be scanned.

Thank you.  I wonder if we should go today instead of tomorrow, as it is almost a 2 hour drive from the house.

Making the drive in 30 minutes.  Will let you know.  For the RFE - Additionally, my total income looks low to them as I am on a Medically retired pension of which only a small amount is taxed, and so it seems that I make less than I do.  They did not bother to look at the Pension letter which is uploaded or my last 3 three pay stubs I included.  I think I need to upload the 1099R and a letter of explanation, as well as  including my current home as an asset.  Do you folks think I need to upload the last three months bank account statements?

The bank statements may help so it may be worth a shot

2 hours from the door to the USCIS support center, just arrived and they went ahead and let my wife in one day early after she explained I worked tomorrow. Now waiting for her to exit.  I hope submitting the 1099R, doing a new I-864 and listing my houses title certificate and my Roth IRA accounts along with bank statements satisfies them.  The issue of support is not for retired folks who have just an un-taxed pension apparently.....

Made the address change online since they swapped the order of 2 numbers in the address when they uploaded it. Funny how we received the NOA's with the right address....

Can I just upload the RFE info? Or do I need to mail it?
