Hi all,

I barely made our group!
All AOS forms (i485, i765 and i131) filed. I just got my NOA1s in the mail today. Still no online access code, but the status of our case is now “biometrics appt scheduled,” so hopefully that will come in the mail soon!

Welcome ....

My aos package was received by uscis on Oct 27th. As of today there is no word from them. No email or noa letter. Should I do anything or kept on waiting?

Ours took a while too - keep waiting for now! I think depending on where the application is processing, the time to biometric scheduling is variable. We still don’t have one scheduled and they got our application on October 6 (mailed to the Chicago lockbox)

Did you file the G-1145 with your documents so that you could receive the e-mail or get the text messages indicating your case was received which also indicates your receipt numbers which will be on the NOA?  As I indicated in an earlier post we mailed ours on the 26th and it was received on the 31st with text messages sent confirming this.  Should have the NOA by the end of this week.  My check I included was deposited on the 31st and cleared the same day with my Bank.  The Chicago lockbox is where I sent the paperwork, as we reside in California.  Hoping to get the biometrics out of the way in the next few weeks.  My wife already has her SSN, but needs the EAD approval to accept the job she has been offered.  She applied for the California Real ID card, but since here I-94 and Visa did not have the required amount of time they just processed her for a regular ID card which should be here by next week.

oh well...seems like my I-765 got approval today. Saw a document named "I-765 C09 Standalone Approval" in my account, downloaded and found out they gave me a 5-year EAD, expiration date is 11/01/2028.

Wow ... Congrats (and jealous)

Hey gino, it should come soon ... post office is often slow with these docs ... especially the online accesa code doc.

Yes! I have included G-1145 form, I made sure it is located on the top of all the forms. And sent the package to chicago lockbox for WA State residence.

my wife has ssn prior to  submitting forms but needs the i-765 approval so she can work.

Did you get a text message indicating the packages were received which also included a Case number starting with IOE?

I was very surprised my check was deposited the same day my AOS package was received. Maybe because it was the end of the month, no way to tell, but I know others have waited several weeks before their personal check was deposited.

I mailed mine on Oct 20 and it was delivered by USPS on Oct 23 to the Chicago lockbox. I paid by personal check and still no update and the check has not been cashed.

Finally i got the chance to have a live chat via emma today and got updates on:

My I-485 interview was marked as waived on 10/27/2023 and my case is still with NBC (not with a field office as I wish)

My EAD card is in production (although not updated on case status)

fyi: I received my NOAs of 485+765 and bio appt letters in mail yesterday…..still missing 131 NOA

Ours was very similar - it took weeks for my check to clear and then we just got our notices via mail this past week (we got text notification October 23).

I wonder if the Chicago lockbox is just slower??
