A brother who is a derivative of a an approved F4 petition for his wife is applying for renewal of tourist visa. What is the likelihood  of getting a tourist visa with the pending case.

I would say 1% because he is already Having his immigration under process so it's very unlikely he will get tourist visa

F4 takes decades so assuming this was not filed 15 years ago probably pretty good.

I wish he did not do that,  because that can change the all process intirely for immigration purposes.

How can applying for a B2 visa affect immigration?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

In Ghana such rush put a 70/100 red flag on your process .

I fail to see how an application for a B2 would affect an immigrant visa.  Never seen that be an issue.

I think that if you have applied multiple times for B and/or F visas and then apply for a spousal or fiancé visa in Ghana that they may assume that you are essentially visa shopping/desperate to the point of committing fraud and get extra scrutiny.

I don’t think that’s relevant in this case.
